Eligible proposals must demonstrate a clear connection to entrepreneurship support within New Mexico and include organizations with a physical presence in the state. The application process is structured into four required components submitted electronically. These include an organizational experience narrative, a detailed proposal describing strategy and implementation, a comprehensive budget summary, and required documentation such as a letter of good standing and a W-9 form. Applications are evaluated competitively based on multiple criteria, including organizational experience, alignment with priority sectors, ecosystem engagement, partnerships, implementation readiness, and the clarity and feasibility of the proposed budget. Selected applicants may be invited to present their proposals to an evaluation committee as part of the final selection process. The program follows a defined annual timeline. For the referenced cycle, applications opened in August and closed in early September, with finalist notifications occurring later that month and awards finalized in October. Projects must be completed within twelve months of the grant agreement execution, and final reports are required within thirteen months. Reporting requirements include monthly progress updates and a comprehensive final report detailing outcomes, financial expenditures, and long-term impacts.
