Grant Description

GROW Apprenticeship Intermediary Grants support the expansion and diversification of registered apprenticeship programs in Massachusetts. The funding is intended to help intermediary organizations develop, expand, and deliver high-quality registered apprenticeship services, including work in high-growth industries and newer apprenticeship sectors such as early childhood education, healthcare, and life sciences. The opportunity is open to a broad range of Massachusetts applicants, including workforce boards and career centers, business and industry associations, training associations, labor unions, joint labor-management training consortiums, community-based and nonprofit organizations, for-profit entities, employer consortiums, schools, colleges and universities, consulting entities, and other consortiums. Funded work is expected to target sectors with unmet employer demand or to develop new career pathways for talent. The procurement anticipates multiple awards and may use several state and federal funding streams. Single-year awards run through June 30, 2027 and may be renewed annually at DAS discretion, while multi-year awards may run through June 30, 2029. Applicants must maintain an active COMMBUYS registration, comply with applicable registered apprenticeship authorities, and may not use funds for wages or stipends paid directly to apprentices or mentors.
