Tara's Circle Grant Program

Tara's Circle Call for Applications is an international funding opportunity from Tara for Women for women-led, early-stage projects designed to generate positive social, environmental and/or economic impact. The call is open to women who are at least 18 years old at the time of application and to projects in which a woman is a founder or co-founder and plays an active leadership role. Projects may have national or international scope, with no geographic restriction. Eligible initiatives must be at the seed stage and have either a defined MVP or a functional MVP, while demonstrating potential for scalability and sustainability. The call supports projects across five thematic areas: Sustainability, Environment & Mobility; Health & Well-Being; Social Innovation, Education & Community Development; Technology & Science; and Design, Culture & Impact-Driven Fashion. Projects may apply under one or more thematic areas when the proposal, impact model, and objectives are consistent with those areas. The program provides a total of EUR 100,000 in cash awards across the five thematic areas. Each thematic area receives EUR 20,000 distributed among three winning projects: EUR 10,000 for first place, EUR 6,000 for second place, and EUR 4,000 for third place. This results in fifteen cash awards overall. Financial support may be used to advance project development, including activities such as technological development, marketing, talent recruitment, or commercial expansion. Funding is non-repayable and is subject to applicable legal, regulatory, tax, financial, and operational requirements. The source states that funding awarded to individuals who are self-employed is subject to an applicable 19 percent tax withholding. Tara for Women may postpone, restrict, or cancel disbursement when force majeure, sanctions, legal or regulatory restrictions, or other circumstances beyond its control prevent a safe and legal transfer. Required materials include a completed registration form, a complete Pitch Deck in PDF format, an Elevator Pitch of no more than two minutes, and any additional documentation requested through the platform for verification, clarification, or expansion of submitted information. If a video pitch is included, it must be uploaded to a public platform identified as YouTube and shared through a visible, unrestricted link. Links and documents must remain accessible through the closing date, and incomplete applications or applications containing inactive links are considered ineligible. The registration form includes legal and contact information, project impact and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals, ethical considerations concerning data or biological materials, and a commitment statement addressing truthfulness, participation, and conflicts of interest. The required Pitch Deck must clearly present the project summary and significance, the problem being addressed, the proposed product or service solution, the business model and revenue approach, customer acquisition channels and cost structure, target market and market size, competitive advantage, the project team and relevant experience, financial projections for approximately one to three years, and investment needs and intended uses of capital. The Elevator Pitch should communicate who the applicant is and what the project does, the problem and its importance, the solution and its distinguishing characteristics, the target market, and the investment, support, partnerships, or other resources being sought. Information in the Pitch Deck must be consistent with the application form and other submitted documentation. Admitted projects are evaluated through four dimensions: Impact, Implementation, Excellence, and Fit with the thematic area. Impact considers the potential for positive social, environmental and/or economic outcomes, the relevance of the challenge, reach and depth of impact, and coherence with the Sustainable Development Goals. Implementation considers the founder or co-founders, team experience and involvement, team structure and complementarity, and alignment between goals and available or planned resources. Excellence addresses innovation, clarity of objectives and value proposition, and overall viability at the project's development stage. The thematic fit criterion evaluates alignment with the selected area without automatically excluding cross-cutting or hybrid initiatives. Selection proceeds through eligibility review, technical evaluation, finalist selection, a jury presentation, winner selection by thematic area, and public results announcement. Registration opens July 1, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. CEST and applications close September 17, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. CEST. Fifteen finalists are scheduled to be notified on October 14, 2026, followed by the Tara's Circle Awards Ceremony on November 18, 2026. No separate LOI, concept paper, pre-proposal, or other pre-application gating requirement is stated. The source does not establish that the opportunity recurs annually or on another regular schedule.
