2026-2027 New California Library Literacy Services Libraries Application

The California Library Literacy Services (CLLS) grant is a funding opportunity offered by the California State Library. To apply, interested libraries must complete an application using the provided instructions and attend one of the two required information sessions scheduled for December 16, 2025, and January 7, 2026. These sessions are not recorded, emphasizing the importance of live participation. Evaluation of applications includes an assessment of the proposed literacy plan’s size and scope. Once funded, grantees are expected to collect and report on both qualitative and quantitative data regarding their literacy services. This includes narrative reports, learner progress evaluations using the CLLS Roles and Goals framework, and financial reports detailing the use of grant funds.
