Regional Robotics Ecosystem Grant Program

The Regional Robotics Ecosystem Grant Program supports projects that grow and diversify the Massachusetts robotics ecosystem. MassTech is seeking proposals from regional ecosystem partners for activities that expand capacity for robotics research, commercialization, and talent development, with an emphasis on increasing geographic and programmatic diversity across the Commonwealth. Supported projects must address at least one of the program’s interest areas: expanding robotics into new sectors, strengthening or creating regional robotics clusters outside the Boston area, or building collaboration and community among educational institutions, industry, government, and local organizations. The program is intended to make robotics more accessible in underserved regions and to create broader economic and workforce benefits through a more connected statewide ecosystem. Eligible applicants are limited to not-for-profit organizations, including economic development agencies, industry associations, and educational institutions. Awards can range up to $150,000 for larger-scale projects, with limited exceptional discussions of larger amounts, and selected applicants will enter into a subaward grant agreement with MassTech.
