The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod is a regional nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the creative economy across Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket. Applicants must be recognized entities such as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, units of state or local government, institutions of higher education, or federally recognized tribal governments. In addition, both the applicant organization and the proposed project must be located within Barnstable County, Dukes County, or Nantucket County. Organizations must also be in good standing and not subject to federal funding restrictions such as suspension or disbarment. The application process is conducted online and opens annually on April 1. Applicants are encouraged to review program guidelines, budget templates, and evaluation criteria before submitting their proposals. Optional informational sessions are offered in April to provide guidance on eligibility, project development, and application requirements. The final deadline for submission is May 29 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Applications must be complete and submitted by this deadline to be considered. Projects funded through this program must take place within a defined performance period spanning from June of the award year through May of the following year. Applications are evaluated based on alignment with program priorities, including artistic merit, innovation, community engagement, and feasibility of the proposed work. Successful applicants are expected to carry out their projects within the stated timeframe and may be required to report on outcomes and impacts. The program operates on a recurring annual cycle, with consistent timelines for application opening and closing. Based on this structure, future funding rounds are expected to follow a similar schedule each year.
