Technical Assistance Program (TAP)

The California Small Business Technical Assistance Program is administered by the California Office of the Small Business Advocate within the Governor Office of Business and Economic Development. The application timeline includes a required letter of intent due by July 31, 2026, followed by a full application deadline of August 17, 2026. The application portal opens on July 24, 2026, and submissions must be completed electronically. Awards are expected to be announced beginning September 16, 2026, with the grant period running from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. Recipients must submit quarterly performance and financial reports and comply with ongoing monitoring and evaluation requirements.
