Grant Description

Cyber Resilient Massachusetts provides grants for Massachusetts municipalities, small businesses, and nonprofits to obtain Security Operations Center services from CyberTrust Massachusetts. Supported services include managed detection and response, active threat hunting, network discovery, vulnerability management, application and asset inventory, extended detection and response, and application control and zero trust services to help organizations remediate cybersecurity vulnerabilities and defend against cyber threats. Municipal entities, including local governments and school districts, may apply jointly, and regional entities may apply when municipalities are the end beneficiary of funds. Grants to municipalities are forward funded, while grants to small businesses and nonprofits are reimbursed. The amended funding terms state that grants may cover up to one-third of the cost of eligible services plus an onboarding fee if applicable, and grants may support service subscriptions for up to three years. The program does not fund CyberTrust Massachusetts Advisory Services, and the notice states that certain costs such as public relations, lobbying, construction and renovation, and equipment purchases not directly related to SOC services are ineligible.
