Grant Description

The Massachusetts Targeted Teacher Diversity Grant supports efforts to build and sustain a diverse, culturally responsive educator workforce in the Commonwealth. It funds work that strengthens recruitment, retention, and professional support for diverse educators and promotes inclusive, multilingual, and multicultural teaching and learning environments. This opportunity is designed to support up to three nonprofit organizations that serve the education ecosystem in Massachusetts. Funded organizations are expected to help schools and districts improve recruitment and selection practices, provide cohort-based fellowship support for early-career K-12 diverse educators, and offer coaching, mentoring, professional development, networking, and community-building opportunities. Grant funds are limited to program uses described in the solicitation and may not be used for discriminatory activities, gift cards, or more than 10 percent in contracts outside the organization. Funded activities run through June 30, 2027, and awardees must participate in program evaluation, data collection, or monitoring associated with the grant.
