Community Health Trust of Pajaro Valley Grant

The Community Health Trust of Pajaro Valley offers a recurring grant program aimed at improving health outcomes and promoting equity across the Pajaro Valley region. The Trust focuses its funding on nonprofit organizations and school-based health programs that support prevention efforts, access to care, and overall wellness. With a mission centered on building health equity and increasing wellness within the local community, the Trust places particular emphasis on projects that target youth, under-resourced families, agricultural workers, and the Latinx population. Health issues such as diabetes, oral health, and access to care, as well as support for the health workforce, are of key interest to the funder. The grant program supports both program-specific requests and general operating support. However, organizations seeking unrestricted funding must provide a compelling rationale that demonstrates how the funding will address a specific challenge affecting their programming and strengthen their effectiveness in the Pajaro Valley. The Trust's funding strategy is informed by donor intent and the organization’s strategic plan, prioritizing community impact and alignment with the funder's mission. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, school-based health programs, or have a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Proposals must directly serve residents of Pajaro Valley and align with the Trust's strategic priorities. The funder generally avoids supporting projects administered by government agencies, except for qualifying school-based health initiatives. Organizations that have received funding for three consecutive years may reapply, though preference is given to newer applicants. The application period for the 2026–2027 grant cycle began on November 14, 2025, and closes on January 31, 2026. All submissions must be completed through the Trust’s online grant portal. The grant program does not fund individuals (with limited exceptions for scholarships), religious activities, capital campaigns, commercial ventures, or previously completed activities. Applications that do not demonstrate geographic relevance to Pajaro Valley or alignment with strategic focus areas will not be considered.
