Each category is assessed on a five-point scale ranging from very weak to excellent based on clarity, evidence, and expected impact. Applicants must also provide narrative responses outlining their organizational needs, proposed solutions, and expected measurable outcomes within three to six months of receiving funding. These outcomes may include increased food distribution, reduced waste, improved client experience, or enhanced operational efficiency. The timeline for the grant begins with the application opening on July 20, 2026, followed by a question period closing on July 31, 2026. Responses to submitted questions are posted publicly by August 7, 2026. The final application deadline is August 14, 2026, at 11:59 PM, with award notifications anticipated by August 25, 2026. Awarded organizations are expected to utilize funds promptly and report on outcomes within three to six months.
