The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Pakistan is in the process of designing the new Climate Resilient Water Governance activity. By issuing this Request for Information (RFI), USAID/Pakistan aims to consult with the broad community of private sector actors, public institutions, development partners, non-governmental organizations, industry associations, civil society, think tanks, and academia to expand our knowledge about key areas of programming. Your response will be used to develop a design document for the activity.This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Notice of Funding Opportunity, a Request for Applications, an Annual Program Statement, a Request for Proposal, a Request for Quotation, an Invitation for Bids, a Solicitation, or an indication that USAID/Pakistan will make an award from this RFI. Therefore, responses to this RFI shall not be portrayed as applications and will not be accepted by the U.S. Government (USG) to form a binding agreement. Responding to this RFI will not give any advantage to any firm or organization in any subsequent procurement and will not lead to an organizational conflict of interest. USAID is seeking information regarding recipient(s) or coalition to support operational research implementation and management worldwide. The activity under design is intended to provide technical assistance, capacity building, global technical leadership, research management and support for development and evaluation of new diagnostics and surveillance platforms and address operational and social challenges of NTD implementation while leveraging the private sector and national health systems where appropriate. There is no eligibility restrictions, so U.S. and non-U.S. organizations may participate in the pre-NOFO conference. Interested organizations MUST pre-register and are limited to registering a maximum of two people per organization to attend the pre-NOFO conference which will be highly technical in content. Through this Addendum to the Global Development Alliance (GDA) Annual Program Statement (APS) APS No: APS-OAA-21-00001 (the GDA APS), the U.S. Agency for International Developments Mission in Mali is making a special call for the submission of Concept Papers focused on catalyzing private sector investment for Malis economic recovery through inclusive and sustainable development. The specific objectives of this Addendum are to: Foster inclusive and sustainable agriculture-led growth Catalyze agricultural investments that strengthen resilience among people and systems Improve productivity of agricultural market systems to promote a well-nourished population, especially among women and children Expand job opportunities and job skills training among priority populations in targeted geographies. (NB: this objective must be paired with at least one of the three above). Subject to funding availability, USAID/Mali may allocate up to USD $3,000,000 to fund two or more GDAs with the private sector. Funding for individual applications is anticipated to be in the range of USD $250,000 to $1,500,000 to be provided over a period of 2-5 years, depending on the approach of each individual application. The resulting GDAs will complement the Mali Country plan under the U.S. Governments Global Food Security Strategy, also known as Feed The Future (FTF). If applicants prefer to read the Mali Country Plan in French, please find it here. Priority will be placed on supporting the most promising and effective GDAs, as described in Section III Evaluation Criteria of this Addendum. Effective GDAs are partnerships that result in the sustainable and ongoing generation of valuable and enduring results over time and well beyond the duration of the GDA.
