This grant category supports Tennessee presenters by providing grant funds up to $5,000 to offset the costs of professional artist fees for performing artists and groups that present to the public and offer an educational component with their engagement. The Special Event Fee Relief Fund is a grant opportunity launched by Mayor Bowser and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED). It is a $1.5 million investment aimed at supporting events that celebrate the culture of the District of Columbia and support local communities. The fund provides financial assistance to organizers of festivals and outdoor special events to cover event expenses. To be eligible, events must occur between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024, be free and open to the public (partially ticketed events may also be eligible), celebrate DC culture or have significant economic impact on the District, not primarily aim to generate revenue or serve as a fundraiser for an organization, foster an inclusive experience, not be religiously affiliated in a way that excludes other faiths or lack thereof, and receive services from at least one eligible DC Government agency. All eligible events must also obtain a DLCP Special Events License and approval from the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) Mayor's Special Events Task Group (MSETG) if street closures are required. Applications can be submitted on a rolling basis between October 1, 2023, and September 1, 2024, with a minimum of 30 days in advance for events occurring November 15, 2023, onwards. There are various discipline-based program areas with their own eligibility requirements such as arts in education projects, artist residency projects, arts partnership projects, discipline-based projects (dance, literature, media arts, museum, music, presenter, theatre, traditional arts, visual arts), and underserved cultural community development projects. Grants for Artists: All applicants must be Florida-based artists who are not enrolled in a degree or certificate program. Artists applying as individuals must create a profile in the grant portal. There are different project types available for artists, including individual artist project grants and arts in education grants (artist performances on tour and teaching artist grants).

PD La Paz invites proposals for programs that strengthen people-to-people ties between the United States and Bolivia through cultural, educational, professional and scientific exchanges that highlight shared values and promote bilateral cooperation. Humanities Montana Research Fellowship supports projects with a central focus in the humanities, a clearly defined theme, and involvement of professional humanists. Projects must include a public program, publicity, and evaluation plans where appropriate. There is a 1:1 cost-share requirement and applications involving Native American communities or cultures must demonstrate their involvement or address why they are not involved. Humanities Montana cannot fund projects focusing on personal concerns, non-public meetings, construction or operating expenses of existing organizations, lobbying or direct social action, one-sided treatment of an issue, fundraising for profit-making groups, alcoholic beverages or entertainment costs, and candidates running for political office.

Artists already listed on the Rhode Island Teaching Artist Roster can renew their listings annually by completing a background check and updating their profile on CreativeGround. Additional Information: Grants are decided through a rigorous panel process involving peers and cultural leaders from across the country. Panelists evaluate applications based on need, relevance to the community, diversity, equity, access, and inclusion. Funding recommendations are made by panelists after reviewing applications. Partial funding is common, so it is recommended to ask for the needed amount along with an accurate budget. Changes or updates to funded projects should be communicated to RISCA staff via email. Grant notifications are sent out via mail. The grant review process takes approximately six to twelve weeks. RISCA staff can provide support beyond grants and offer learning programs, events, and convenings to connect people in the arts and culture ecosystem in Rhode Island.
