The HOME-ARP Housing Plus Support Program provides funding for service providers to provide short term financial assistance and critical services to qualifying populations who are exiting homelessness as well as to prevent vulnerable qualifying populations from losing housing.; The HOME-ARP Program is a one time allocation awarded to states, units of local government, insular areas, and consortia of units of general local government that qualified for an allocation of HOME funds in Fiscal Year 2021. Funding is intented to address the need for homelessness assistance and supportive services specifically for qualifying populations defined as homeless, at risk of homelessness, fleeing, or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking and other vulnerable populations at risk of housing instability. HOME-ARP funding for this NOFA will provide grants to nonprofit and Native American Entities. The Department will award HOME-ARP funds to provide critical services to those experiencing homelessness, exiting homelessness and to prevent vulnerable populations from losing housing.

The Social Justice Fund Northwest (SJF) has announced its 2025 Mountain West Organizing Grant, a two-year funding opportunity focused on grassroots organizing in under-resourced regions of the Mountain West. SJF, known for advancing collective liberation through community-led grantmaking, supports movements for racial, economic, and gender justice across a five-state region including Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. Historically, a disproportionate amount of SJF’s funding has gone to urban hubs like Seattle and Portland. This new cycle emphasizes equitable redistribution of resources toward rural and reservation communities, particularly those in Idaho, Montana, Oregon (Mountain West region), and Wyoming. The grant provides $25,000 per year for two years, totaling $50,000 per awarded organization. The funding supports community organizing efforts aimed at building grassroots power. Eligible projects may include public advocacy, base-building, coalition-building, local and state-level policy work, gender-based violence prevention, immigration justice, anti-hate organizing, equitable access to housing and healthcare, labor or farmworker organizing, and more. SJF clarifies that the listed focus areas are not exhaustive, encouraging a broad range of grassroots organizing work that aligns with their framework. Eligibility is limited to nonprofit organizations, tribal agencies, or fiscally sponsored projects working within SJF’s community organizing model. Applicants must be operating in the target Mountain West states. Additional priority is given to groups with annual budgets under $500,000, those led by Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC)—defined as having at least 51% BIPOC leadership—and organizations working in rural areas, small towns, or reservation communities as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau. Applications for the 2025 cycle opened on July 10, 2025, and will close on August 14, 2025. An optional informational session will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 5:00–6:30 p.m. Mountain Time (4:00–5:30 p.m. Pacific Time). While the grant size ranges from $1,000 to $10,000, funding information also specifies $1,000 – $5,000, indicating a focus on a range of project scales. The foundation's strategic priorities are to facilitate a fair and transparent competitive process, ensuring that eligible applications are reviewed thoroughly using a scoring matrix by the Grants Committee, composed of volunteer Advisory Board members and other community members. Expected outcomes include successful project completion within one year of the award, with a clear focus on measurable and achievable results. Applicants are encouraged to detail these outcomes and demonstrate additional sources of support, collaboration, and/or cooperation. The evaluation criteria emphasize the overall merit of the project, the organization's ability to successfully complete it, the clarity and measurability of the project's goal, the feasibility of the timeframe, and the number of people served, reflecting the foundation's theory of change which centers on impactful, well-executed projects that benefit the broader Fairbanks community.

The program prioritizes Projects that benefit vulnerable and LMI populations as well as those located inside the Most Impacted and Distressed area (MID) or documented to impact the MID. Per the grant requirements program funds must benefit the MID and 50 percent of the program funds are required to benefit LMI persons. Additionally, for CDBG-MIT funds to be used as the non-federal cost share local match, the Project must be a HUD eligible activity and must meet a HUD national objective, per CDBG-MIT rules and regulations. Similarly, the Project must fully comply with all applicable federal rules and regulations, to include Davis Bacon and related acts, Section 3, Section 504, procurement, environmental review, and all other CDBG-MIT, cross-cutting, state and local applicable statutes, rules, and regulations. The Eligible Applicants for 2018 MIT-RIP funds are Jurisdictions within the MID. This includes eligible Jurisdictions that have seen 1 percent or more of total structures destroyed by fire and have more that 0.4 percent of total land designated as moderate, high, or very high fire hazard risk that will receive a proportional allocation of program funds. Eligible Applicants with allocations include Butte County, Lake County, Los Angeles County, Malibu, Paradise, Redding, and Shasta County.  

The Hospice Fund is dedicated to supporting hospice services, particularly focusing on programs that enhance volunteer and bereavement services in Cumberland and York counties. The fund, established from the assets of Hospice of Maine, targets capacity-building and specific project support within the hospice and bereavement sector. It does not provide support for general operational costs. Key eligibility requirements include alignment with the Maine Community Foundation's grant criteria, with priority given to projects that raise awareness of hospice services, improve the quality and utilization of end-of-life services, and support volunteer recruitment and training.
