The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Institutes and Centers (ICs) intend to reissue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to continue the Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) for Undergraduate-Focused Institutions (R15 Clinical Trial Required) program. The full list of participating ICs will be available in the published NOFO. This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive applications. The NOFO is anticipated to be published in Spring 2024 with an expected first application due date in Summer 2024. The NOFO will utilize the R15 activity code.
