The Missouri Humanities (MH) Grant Program offers funding to support humanities-based projects and programs in Missouri. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, museums, libraries, educational institutions, local governments, and civic associations. Applications are welcomed from underserved communities, particularly those that have infrequently or never applied for funding. Individuals and for-profit entities are not eligible. Projects must serve audiences within Missouri and focus on one or more humanities disciplines such as history, literature, cultural heritage, or philosophy. MH provides two types of grants: Mini Grants (up to $5,000), reviewed quarterly, and Major Grants ($5,001 to $15,000), reviewed biannually. Applications for Mini Grants are accepted from October 1 to November 1 and April 1 to May 1, while Major Grant applications are accepted from January 1 to February 1 and July 1 to August 1. Projects funded must include interactions between public audiences and humanities experts such as scholars, educators, or authors. Eligible activities include interpretive exhibits, workshops, panel discussions, humanities-based media projects, and public forums. Costs such as honoraria for speakers, facility rentals, publicity, and accessibility-related expenses can be covered. However, the grants do not fund operating expenses, permanent staff salaries, construction projects, or projects lacking humanities content. A 1:1 match is required, which can include in-kind contributions or cash. Applicants are encouraged to submit drafts for review at least 20 days before the deadline. Draft reviews are designed to improve the chances of success but do not guarantee approval. Successful applicants must notify state legislators of their award, include MH’s logo in promotional materials, and submit a final report within 90 days of the project’s completion. Applications are reviewed by an independent panel of arts professionals and community leaders who evaluate proposals based on their alignment with program goals and priorities. VISION Arts 6 focuses on promoting Tulsa’s arts and cultural identity, increasing tourism, enhancing local engagement, and using the arts to address civic challenges. Priority is given to projects that attract diverse audiences, boost access to cultural events, and create unique “sense of place” experiences. Other priorities include initiatives that enhance tourism, broaden arts audiences through research and marketing, and create multimedia content that tells Tulsa’s story. Applicants must attend one of four mandatory virtual informational sessions to be eligible for funding. Sessions will be held on October 15, October 28, November 15, and December 14, 2024, each covering the same content. Additionally, several non-mandatory sessions are available to provide technical assistance on topics like grant writing, marketing, and budgeting. While these are not required, participation must be noted in the application. Grantees are required to complete an End-of-Cycle Report within 30 days of the funding period’s end on July 1, 2026, and submit a final invoice and itemization of costs by July 31, 2026. The Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation (IWCF) invites applications for its 2024–2025 Grants Cycle to support projects that address critical needs in Southwestern Idaho. Eligible organizations include nonprofit 501(c)(3) entities, educational institutions, government agencies, and tax-exempt religious organizations serving the counties of Ada, Adams, Boise, Camas, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, Valley, and Washington. Proposals should present creative solutions to community challenges, with plans for sustainability beyond IWCF funding. Funds may be distributed over one or two years but are expected to be used within the year they are received. For this cycle, IWCF will consider proposals in six interest areas. Applicants must select one area when applying. Funding requests may range from $20,000 to $30,000. IWCF will not fund organizations with annual revenues under $50,000, general operating costs unrelated to the specific grant request, ongoing program costs not tied to expansions or new initiatives, or activities such as lobbying, scholarships, or endowment contributions. Applications currently receiving IWCF funding must wait 12 months after submitting their End-of-Grant report to apply again. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. The grant timeline begins with the application opening on October 2, 2024, followed by a Virtual Nonprofit Education and Q&A Session on November 4, 2024. Applications are due by January 7, 2025. The grants committee will review applications and conduct site visits between January and March 2025. Organizations will be notified of funding decisions in April, with grants awarded in May 2025. Applicants are encouraged to prepare proposals carefully, aligning them with IWCF’s funding priorities and demonstrating measurable outcomes and clear sustainability plans.
