The Re+ Circular Economy Grant Program, supported by the King County Solid Waste Division (SWD), is designed to foster projects that actively minimize waste, extend the lifespan of materials, and rejuvenate natural systems. This initiative directly aligns with the broader mission of promoting a circular economy, moving beyond traditional linear models of production and consumption. By focusing on prevention and reuse upstream, and robust recycling actions downstream, the program seeks to create a more sustainable material flow within King County, while also addressing and reducing existing inequities. The program targets a diverse range of beneficiaries, including nonprofit organizations, fiscally sponsored organizations, businesses, self-employed individuals, tribal governments, and universities/colleges that operate within or support communities in King County (excluding Seattle and Milton). The overarching impact goals are to significantly reduce the volume of materials generated and subsequently sent to the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill, and to enhance the overall sustainability and equity of King County's solid waste system. This is achieved by supporting projects that offer higher uses for materials, focus on waste prevention, or improve the quality, quantity, and availability of recycling infrastructure. The Re+ Circular Economy Grant has two primary focus areas: Prevention and Reuse, and Recycling. Prevention and Reuse projects encompass efforts to reduce material consumption, build infrastructure for reusable products, increase food rescue, and encourage sharing or donating items. Recycling projects aim to create or expand markets for recycled materials (including organics), improve the quality and access to recycling in various communities, and even commercialize technologies that replace virgin materials with recycled content. Projects addressing plastic, paper, and organics (food waste, yard waste, and wood) are given higher priority during the evaluation process, reflecting a strategic emphasis on key waste streams. With approximately $2.2 million in grant funding available for the 2024-25 cycle, the program expects measurable outcomes such as increased food rescue for human and animal consumption, stimulated demand for reused and recycled products, expanded access to reuse and recycling programs, and enhanced collection and processing capacity for recyclable materials. Furthermore, the program anticipates the commercialization of new technologies that utilize recycled content and the development of new uses for recycled materials, all demonstrating future waste diversion potential. The King County Solid Waste Division's strategic priority is a whole system approach that balances upstream prevention with downstream recycling, underpinned by a theory of change that by supporting innovative projects in these areas, King County can achieve substantial reductions in landfill waste and foster a more equitable and resilient circular economy.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is extending the application deadline for the Commercial and Charter Vessel Access Grant Program, funded through the LDWF 2019 Flood Disaster Grant. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) allocated funds to mitigate the effects of freshwater flooding on Louisiana’s saltwater resources. Grants of up to $500,000 will be awarded to public and private entities for constructing new facilities, acquiring land, or improving access for saltwater commercial and charter fishing vessels. The new application deadline is May 31, 2024, extending from the original date of May 15, 2024. Projects must be in coastal areas impacted by the 2019 flood and accessible to the public. Recipients must maintain facilities for at least 20 years.

The Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act of 2008 (PRIIA) Section 212 requires establishment of a Northeast Corridor Commission (NEC Commission). The NEC Commission was established to promote mutual cooperation and planning pertaining to the rail operations and related activities of the Northeast Corridor. The statute requires several deliverables, including a statement of goals, recommendations, access costs and a report on Northeast Corridor economic development. The NEC Commission is comprised of 18 voting members, nine of which represent each of the eight states and the District of Columbia, five of which represent the U.S. Department of Transportation, and four of which represent Amtrak.

The RTP is a federal assistance program that provides funds to states for the development and maintenance of recreational trails and related facilities for both motorized and nonmotorized recreational trail uses. Funded through the Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act for Federal fiscal years 2016 through 2020, the program supports a broad spectrum of trail activities such as maintenance, restoration, construction, and acquisition of land for recreational trails. The State of Maine participates in the RTP and has designated the Bureau of Parks and Lands to administer the program, focusing on projects that enhance public access, connectivity, and utilization of trails.

Pursuant to statute, the purpose of the program is to encourage increased use of active modes of transportation, such as biking and walking. The goals of the ATP are to: •Increase the proportion of trips accomplished by biking and walking. •Increase the safety and mobility for nonmotorized users. •Advance the active transportation efforts of regional agencies to achieve greenhouse gas reduction goals as established pursuant to Senate Bill 375 (Chapter 728, Statutes of 2008) and Senate Bill 391 (Chapter 585, Statutes of 2009). •Enhance public health, including reduction of childhood obesity through the use of programs including, but not limited to, projects eligible for Safe Routes to School Program funding. •Ensure that disadvantaged communities fully share in the benefits of the program. •Provide a broad spectrum of projects to benefit many types of active transportation users.

This is a reimbursable grant for airport development or planning activities. The State will provide up to 5% of total AIP grant with a project maximum of $150,000 per project. Project must be listed in the State Capital Improvement Plan to be eligible. Project must not begin until a notice to proceed is given by the State

This grant provides funding for transportation projects that improve freight movement and community impact, specifically targeting regional transportation plans and requiring collaboration among local governments and private industry.

This funding opportunity provides financial assistance to local public agencies in California for infrastructure projects aimed at improving roadway safety and reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities.

EBIP is intended to encourage adoption for low-income individuals of electric bicycles as a replacement for motor vehicle trips. Consistent with the goals of SB 375, EBIP would increase access to clean transportation options while offsetting vehicle miles traveled (VMT) by way of incentivizing electric bicycles (e-bikes). A portion of project funds would support the development and administration of a virtual bike safety class, so that consumers understand bicycle road safety. EBIP will provide incentives for eligible e-bikes to income-qualified consumers at the time of purchase, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Furthermore, EBIP will pilot an approach that aims to 1) help people replace car trips with e-bike trips, 2) increase access to electric bicycles, and 3) reduce GHG emissions. EBIP will be administered and implemented through a partnership between CARB and a Grantee, selected via this completive solicitation. Eligible applicants wishing to apply for the role of project administrator must submit an application via mail or in person to CARB no later than 5:00 p.m. (PDT) May 11, 2022. This program provides funding to local and regional governments that have approved dedicated transportation fees or taxes, aimed at improving infrastructure, road conditions, active transportation, and transit systems.

This program provides funding to regional transportation agencies and local governments for projects that improve safety, reduce congestion, and enhance accessibility in transportation corridors while promoting economic development and environmental sustainability.

The ARLE Transportation Enhancements Grant Program, administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), funds safety and mobility projects using revenue from automated red light and speed enforcement systems. Established in 2010, ARLE aims to reduce vehicle crashes and improve safety at signalized intersections by utilizing fines collected through enforcement systems. Eligible projects include roadway safety upgrades, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other transportation enhancements. The program is reimbursement-based with no match requirement, and the total anticipated funding for FY 2024-2025 is approximately $32 million.

This program provides funding to nonprofit organizations in Michigan that focus on arts and culture, helping them strengthen their operations and enhance their services to the community.

This notice details the application requirements and procedures to obtain grant funding for projects on the Northeast Corridor (NEC) under the Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Program for Fiscal Year 2024. The program aims to reduce the State of Good Repair backlog, improve performance, or expand or establish new intercity passenger rail service. Eligible applicants include states, groups of states, interstate compacts, public agencies, political subdivisions, Amtrak, federally recognized Indian tribes, and combinations of these entities. The total funding available is $2,034,420,932, and applications are due by July 15, 2024. The projects must be listed in the 2024 Northeast Corridor Project Inventory and comply with the selection and evaluation criteria outlined in the notice.

Notice of funding availability - Arizona Automobile Theft Authority - FY25 Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force Annual Grant funding for the Arizona Department of Public Safety to administer the statewide Vehicle Theft Task Force. Grant applications require the approval of the AATA Board of Directors on June 21, 2024 - 10am. The Mississippi Council on Developmental Disabilities is accepting Innovative Quality of Life Grant applications for Fiscal Year 2025 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025). Maximum funding amount for each grant is $25,000. MSCDD expects to fund five or more new grants. Deadline for the application is June 5, 2024 at noon. The HealthTech Accelerator is a 90-day tech business accelerator specifically designed for pre-Series A HealthTech startups. These partnerships align with the broader mission of fostering innovation and economic growth within the health technology landscape. The primary target beneficiaries of this accelerator are HealthTech startups that are in their pre-Series A funding stage. The program aims to support businesses that are built with proprietary technology, creating next-generation health technology products and solutions. The overarching impact goal is to accelerate the growth and market validation of these innovative startups, ultimately contributing to advancements in healthcare and wellness. By providing structured programming and access to a robust network, the accelerator seeks to empower these companies to overcome common startup challenges and achieve sustainable growth. The program prioritizes companies with dedicated management teams of at least two full-time individuals, demonstrating a serious commitment to their venture. A key focus is on market validation, requiring applicants to show proof that their products or solutions address a real market need. The accelerator also seeks investable and/or scalable businesses with viable business plans and a financial runway of at least 6-12 months. While not strictly requiring relocation, selected companies must plan for on-site participation in Tampa, FL, during each of the three blocks of programming, emphasizing the importance of in-person engagement and collaboration. The expected outcomes for participating startups include enhanced business development, refined proprietary technology, and increased market readiness. Through the 90-day program, companies are anticipated to strengthen their business models, expand their professional networks through partnerships with entities like Accenture, hospitals, health systems, and healthcare-specific VC funds, and improve their readiness for investment. Measurable results would likely include progress in product development, securing follow-on funding, customer acquisition, and overall business growth, all contributing to the program's strategic goal of fostering a vibrant health technology ecosystem.

The FY24 Intercity Bus Program Section - 5311 grant, overseen by the Alabama Department of Transportation, provides $1,900,000 in funding to enhance bus connectivity between rural and urban areas in Alabama, supporting capital and operating expenses for existing, expanded, or new services.
