The U.S. Embassy Baghdad Public Diplomacy Section (PD Section), on behalf of U.S. Mission Iraq, is pleased to announce that funding is available through its Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program. The Demonstration Program on Trauma-Informed, Victim-Centered Training for Law Enforcement on Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking (Abby Honold Program) (Assistance Listing Number #16.058) supports efforts to improve law enforcements response to allegations of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking from the time of a victims initial report throughout the entire investigation, and to promote the efforts of law enforcement in improving the response to these crimes. The Abby Honold Program awards grants to law enforcement agencies to train officers to conduct trauma-informed and victim-centered investigations, with the goal of incorporating trauma-informed techniques designed to prevent re-traumatization of the victim and to increase communication between victims and law enforcement as well as stakeholders in a coordinated community response. This programs purpose is also to evaluate the effectiveness of the training. The Abby Honold Program encourages law enforcement agencies to integrate into their policies, trainings, and practices the eight principles set forth in the Department of Justices 2022 updated guidance on Improving Law Enforcement Response to Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence by Identifying and Preventing Gender Bias. If implemented, these principles would enhance victim safety, increase offender accountability, and promote agency trust within the surrounding community. This program supports the training of law enforcement to conduct investigations more effectively. The training and technical assistance for this program is provided by OVW-funded national Training and Technical Assistance Providers.

The LRP seeks to improve quality of life of persons with lupus using an intervention at the individual and/or health care system level. This effort is supported through two related, but separate, award mechanisms, the LRP TVDA and the LRP Transformative Vision Award (TVA).The TVDA is intended to provide support to conduct pilot studies that will generate preliminary data and demonstrate feasibility for achieving the aims of a future TVA project.The TVA supports applications that will fulfill an extraordinary vision for dramatically improving the quality of life of persons with lupus in the near term using an intervention at the individual and/or health care system level.Applicants are not required to be awarded a TVDA to submit a TVA application.Examples of suitable LRP TVDA preliminary studies would include development and optimization of an intervention, intervention safety studies, or refinement of trial design.The CDMRP encourages research on health areas and conditions that affect women uniquely, disproportionately, or differently from men, including studies analyzing sex as a biological variable. Such research should relate anticipated project findings to improvements in women's health outcomes and/or advancing knowledge for women's health.

The Public Impact Projects at Smaller Organizations program supports small and mid-sized museums and cultural organizations in the creation of public humanities programming and strengthens their capacity to develop such programming. NEH’s Public Impact Projects encourage you to think critically about the humanities programming your organization currently offers and to assess your organization’s relationship to your community and surrounding neighborhoods. You will develop or implement strategies to strengthen the interpretive goals of your organization and ensure your public programing meets audience needs. Funded projects may focus on evaluating current interpretive programing, collections, and other available resources to identify new story opportunities or interpretive methods. USDA/FAS will accept applications for projects in the following priority countries: Angola, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Laos, Malawi, and Rwanda. Of these, Angola and El Salvador are countries that do not currently have active McGovern-Dole projects. McGovern-Dole projects are implemented in low-income, food-deficit countries globally.
