The U.S. Embassy Tirana of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit proposals for funding under the Meet the Corner program. This program will reach out to small, remote schools on the outskirts of the cities with American Corners (Tirana, Vlora, Kukes), focusing on communities with limited access to physical Corners or where financial and other constraints hinder young people visiting, increasing the Corners for outreach. Fully equipped with various resources and programs typically available only at the Corners, "Meet the Corner" will introduce Corner flagship programs in countering disinformation and STEM to new audiences. Emphasizing the Corners core values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA), this initiative is focused on reaching out to underserved communities and marginalized groups that would otherwise find it difficult to join American Corner events because of physical or geographic limitations. "Meet the Corner" program will reach at least five schools per city in suburban areas, offering Corner STEM and Countering Disinformation programs while engaging students in English conversation and critical thinking. Based on the American Spaces toolkits, the curriculum will be interactive, incorporating debates and activities beyond conventional learning methods, as well as American games, sports, collaboration with DOS alumni engagement as mentors for CDI and STEM.

Award will be made upon mutual agreement and acceptance of the terms and conditions contained in the request for proposal and the of the recipient's CESU Master Agreement.PURPOSE: Provide natural resource environmental expertise on various Army Installations to provide LRAM, RTLA, and GIS project implementation accomplished by an onsite recipient during installation identified business hours. In coordination with, and as identified by the Installation Government Representative (IGR), the NFE onsite representatives verify the installations' project designs, provide personnel required to execute installation LRAM, RTLA, and GIS activities, schedule/coordinate project execution, document/update execution progress, and assist the Government in identifying future LRAM, RTLA, and GIS projects. The purpose of this Cooperative Agreement is to provide for Mexican Spotted Owl (MSO) surveys at Naval Observatory Flagstaff Station (Station). In order to accomplish this objective, the Cooperator shall conduct presence/absence surveys for MSOs at the same MSO calling stations censused from 2006 to 2023. The Cooperator shall follow the same survey methodology and calling routes as described in Johnson et al. (2007). All surveys will be designed and conducted in accordance with the current approved USFWS MSO protocol (USFWS 2003). The Cooperator shall document the age, sex, and activity (calling, foraging, roosting, etc.) of all MSOs or any other owl species detected during surveys. The Cooperator shall possess a current federal endangered species permit from the USFWS authorizing the Cooperator to conduct MSO surveys. The Global Leaders Division in the Office of Citizen Exchanges at the U.S. Department of States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) invites proposal submissions to design, administer, and implement the FY 2024 Arctic Indigenous Exchange Program (AIEP). This new initiative will bring together approximately 50 Indigenous leaders, including business development professionals, government officials, and entrepreneurs from Canada, the Kingdom of Denmark (Greenland), and the United States (Alaska), for a multi-phase exchange program to explore areas of regional cooperation across the Arctic. The goal of this program is to strengthen people-to-people relationships, advance cooperation, and foster greater commercial and cultural ties between Arctic Indigenous populations in the United States, Canada, and Greenland across a range of priority areas. U.S. public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) may submit proposals to provide a series of exchange projects ranging in size and scope, focused on critical topics to Arctic Indigenous communities in Greenland, Canada, and the United States (specifically Alaska), including sustainable economic development, climate and the environment, and health and well-being. It is anticipated that this cooperative agreement will support approximately three to six distinct exchange projects for approximately 50 participants, including approximately 35 foreign and 15 U.S. participants.
