Grants must support the creation and registration of a new teaching association, as well as the initial activities of the new association including but not limited to member recruitment, and the creation of professional development activities to support English language learning and teaching. Initial activities could include but are not limited to programs and events organized by the association to support professional development for English language teaching and learning in the country; training new generations of English language teachers and students; teaching practical English for professionals; motivating students to excel at English learning; and establishing English programs that support economic growth. The Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) invites proposal submissions from public and private non-profit organizations that are based and legally registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to implement the BiH component of the 2025-2026 Youth Leadership and Teacher Professional Development Program, pending the availability of Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Assistance to Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia (AEECA) funds. Mandatory Components: 1. The Youth Leadership Program (YLP) should be organized for 18 high school students aged 15-19, and three teachers from three communities in BiH to reflect the countrys diversity and administrative divisions, for a total of 21 participants in one program. 2. At the core of YLP is a substantive three-to-four-week program in the United States that takes place in at least two different cities during which time the BiH participants exchange information and experiences with peers in the United States. The United States-based program will be executed by a U.S. implementing partner. The BiH component of the program (The program) should incorporate a pre-departure orientation in Sarajevo and an eight-month period during which participants conduct a Community Action Project (CAP) in their hometowns. 3. The program should include group discussions, experiential learning activities, and exercises that focus on the themes outlined below and include aspects of leadership, teambuilding, collective problem-solving skills, effective communication, appreciation of diversity, and management skills. Participants should gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. 4. The program activities and content should represent diverse BiH political and social viewpoints, as well as other aspects of diversity. The program should advance the Embassys mission to promote mutual understanding between citizens of other countries and citizens of the United States. 5. The program should include a plan to guide and oversee follow-on engagement and project implementation once participants return home from the U.S. component of the project.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), West Africas Regional Peace and Governance Office (RPGO) is interested in seeking organizations working in the local, national, and cross-border level on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and Countering Trafficking-in-Persons (C-TIP) in West Africa (inclusive of Coastal West Africa (CWA), the Sahel, and Cameroon) and their particular approaches (community/local, national or cross-border level). We are particularly interested in responses concerning organizations active in the CWA countries of Benin, Cte dIvoire, Ghana, Guinea, Togo, and Cameroon. The Department of the Interiors (DOI) Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) is responsible for managing energy and mineral resources on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). BOEMs mission is to promote economic development and energy independence while ensuring protection of the environment. The Marine Minerals Program (MMP) within BOEM provides negotiated agreements for OCS sediment resources used in coastal restoration efforts. The MMP continues to look for better ways to serve the American people and to ensure that the nation receives the best value for its resources now and into the future. The Program provides information to support decision-making not only within the Department of the Interior, but also to coastal states and local governments to ensure the responsible use of OCS resources for coastal restoration activities.The Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA) Section 1346 mandates environmental and socioeconomic studies be conducted that are needed for the assessment and management of environmental impacts on the human, marine, and coastal environments which may be affected by offshore energy or other mineral development. The Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA), Section 1331 encourages state participation in policy and planning decisions related to OCS resources, including sand and gravel. This is an Annual Program Statement, outlining our funding priorities, the strategic themes we focus on, and the procedures for submitting requests for funding. Please carefully follow all instructions below.Purpose of Small Grants: PDS Bujumbura invites proposals for programs that strengthen ties between the United States and Burundi through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American element, priority, goal, or a connection with U.S. expert(s), organization(s), or institution(s), in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. Applicants are strongly encouraged to partner with English Clubs, American Spaces, or U.S. exchange program alumni to conduct activities.

The objectives of the proposed research effort include: Monitor and report performance of dredged material placed at beneficial use sites, specifically mine land reclamation and landfill cover sites. Factors to be monitored include, but are not limited to:a. Ecosystem recovery and functionalityb. Water qualityc. Landscape stabilityd. Vegetation growth Successful applicants should have expert knowledge of confined disposal facilities and beneficial use of dredged material. The applicant should also have a record that demonstrates applied research and monitoring experience with both topics. The candidates should have prior experience with monitoring beneficial use sites. The candidates will be required to prepare a Statement of Work and Work Plan regarding the research to be conducted. The candidate will also be required to submit three (3) quarterly status reports and one (1) annual report each year of the contract to provide updates on the work being conducted.

The Childrens Hospitals Graduate Medical Education (CHGME) Payment Program compensates for the disparity in federal graduate medical education funding for freestanding childrens teaching hospitals as compared to other types of teaching hospitals who primarily serve adults and receive federal graduate medical education funding through the Medicare Program. The CHGME Payment Program supports graduate medical education in freestanding childrens teaching hospitals to train physicians across multiple specialties and to provide quality care to vulnerable and underserved children.

Evaluation Center (CJTTEC). The Center provides testing, evaluation, and other activities to support the safety, effectiveness, efficiency, and efficacy of technologies in use or adaptable by criminal justice and juvenile justice communities. The Center informs NIJs research and development efforts as well as NIJs stakeholders, including criminal justice practitioners, policymakers, researchers, federal partners, and private industry, by: (1) conducting secondary research on technologies and technology implementation for potential use by criminal justice communities; (2) performing experimental testing and evaluation on technologies to inform potential adoption by criminal justice agencies; (3) conducting experimental or rigorous quasi-experimental research and evaluation of technology implementation by criminal justice agencies; (4) administering the NIJ Compliance Testing Program (CTP); and (5) supporting the development, validation, and maintenance of criminal justice equipment standards.

Having in place a secure and effective system for warning and informing the public of impending natural and man-made disasters is an essential part of America's emergency preparedness. FEMAs Integrated Public Alert Warning System (IPAWS) is the national system for local alerting that provides authenticated emergency and life-saving information to the public. Local radio and TV stations, along with cable, direct broadcast satellite, and wireless service providers disseminate the public safety messages they receive from IPAWS. This grant supports projects that aid in creating and maintaining a resilient public alert and warning system that provides timely and effective warnings, especially including areas that are traditionally underserved by broadcast providers. This public alert and warning system is built on the Common Alerting Protocol standard (CAP) that permits a single CAP compatible message to activate multiple compliant warning systems and a stations ability to maintain continuity of operations during emergencies. The Next Generation Warning System includes all available radio and television technology in the alert and warning ecosystem to expand and enhance emergency information dissemination to the public. The grant is intended to replace aging infrastructure to enhance alerting capabilities, improve resiliency, operational continuity, and security through new technology for qualified rural, tribal, and other stations who support underserved public broadcast audiences. Broadcasters may use funding to replace aging equipment and improve cybersecurity hygiene. This program supports investments that improve resiliency, continuity of broadcast operations, and security of public broadcasting networks and systems. In addition, broadcasters may upgrade to the Advanced Television Systems Committee broadcast standard (ATSC 3.0) or digital radio, allowing broadcasts to reach a greater number of different types of communication devices, incorporating multimedia in alert and warning messaging, and making alerts more accessible. In September 2022, the U.S. Departments of Energy, Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and the Environmental Protection Agency executed an historic memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the signatory agencies to accelerate our nations affordable and equitable clean transportation future.1 As a result of the comprehensive decarbonization strategy called for in the MOU, those agencies issued the U.S. National Blueprint for Transportation Decarbonization, which set the goal to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in the transportation sector including off-road equipment by 20502. The Transition to net-zero emission technologies requires coordination among all aspects of the supply chain, including feedstock supply, alternative fuel production, equipment manufacturers, safety implementation, customer demand, and government regulation. To develop a national strategy to decarbonize the sector, three critical questions must be addressed: 1. What is the current state of the off-road vehicle fleet? 2. Which powertrain technologies are most promising for decarbonization of off-road vehicles? 3. What is the timeline for the off-road sector to transition to net-zero emission GHG technologies? Off-road vehicles are primarily designed to operate away from existing roadways. This category contains a disparate and very diverse set of vehicles and use cases, including construction and mining equipment, industrial equipment, agriculture equipment, lawn and garden equipment, and recreational vehicles.1 The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to understand the off-road sector alternative propulsion technology preferences, which technologies seem most promising, and what are the key barriers to achieving the transition to net-zero emissions by 2050. The propulsion technologies under consideration for this RFI are: biodiesel, renewable diesel, renewable natural gas, battery electric, direct electrification (catenary), electric hybridization, hydrogen fueled internal combustion engines and hydrogen fuel cells. Currently, no one alternative propulsion technology is a clear choice for sector decarbonization.
