The National Historical Publications and Records Commission seeks Archives Collaboratives of three or more repositories working together to make their collections more readily available for public discovery and use. The grant program will fund Archives Collaboratives to: share best practices, tools, and techniques; assess institutional strengths and opportunities; create replicable and sustainable digital platforms for historical collections; virtually unify records from multiple repositories; and promote management structures for long-term sustainability and growth. The Commission welcomes collaborations that target institutional advancement for small and underserved local archives and repositories, especially those with collections that focus on the voices and perspectives of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Archives Collaboratives must consist of three or more organizations. They may: ? be located in the same community, state, or geographic region ? be virtual or online collaboratives ? share affinities among the scope and subject matter of their collections ? have similar organizational missions ? serve similar types of user communities Award Information Applicants may apply for either a Planning Grant or an Implementation Grant. You need not have previously received an NHPRC Planning Grant in order to apply for an Implementation Grant. Planning Grants are available to plan and develop a working collaborative of three or more partners designed to enhance the capacity of small and diverse organizations with historical records collections. Commitments to the Archives Collaborative should be secured from partners at the time that the application is submitted. Together, the partners would develop a mission, work plan, and timeline to carry out a shared project or develop a shared best practice, tool, or technique that will increase public access to historical records. Applicants are eligible to receive one-year planning grants up to $25,000, shared by the consortia, to carry out the project. The NHPRC expects to make up to four grants in this category for up to $100,000. Applications are due on May 8, 2024, with a start date for implementation of January 1, 2025. Implementation Grants are available for Archives Collaboratives to put into practice the action items identified during their planning process, whether done independently or through a Planning Grant from the NHPRC. Projects that demonstrate commitments by member organizations to the Archives Collaborative, a work plan, and timeline are eligible to receive one- or two-year implementation grants up to $100,000, shared by the consortia, to carry out the project. The NHPRC expects to make up to four grants in this category for up to $400,000. Applications are due on May 8, 2024, with a start date for implementation of January 1, 2025. The Commission requires that grant recipients acknowledge NHPRC grant assistance in all publications and other products that result from its support. Eligibility Eligible applicants: ? Applications that consist entirely of ineligible activities will not be considered. In order to ensure eligibility, applicants should first review the rules and regulations governing NHPRC grants under the Administering an NHPRC Grant section. Cost Sharing The total costs of a project are shared between the NHPRC and the applicant organization. Cost sharing is required. The applicants financial contribution may include both direct and indirect expenses, in-kind contributions, non-Federal third-party contributions, and any income earned directly by the project. Indirect costs must be listed under the applicants cost sharing contribution. NHPRC grant recipients are not permitted to use grant funds for indirect costs (as indicated in 2 CFR 2600.101). The Commission provides no more than 75 percent of total project costs for the Planning and Implementation Grants. For example, a request of $75,000 in NHPRC grant funds means the applicant institution must provide at least $25,000 in cost share. Other Requirements Applicant organizations must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting an application, maintain SAM registration throughout the application and award process, and include a valid Unique Entity ID in their application. It may take up to one month to register or reactivate your registration with SAM.gov and Grants.gov. NHPRC will not grant deadline extensions for lack of registration.

The Digital Equity Competitive Grant Program aims to provide funding to various entities to promote digital equity and inclusion, enhance broadband adoption, and offer training and resources for underprivileged populations, with a focus on initiatives not covered by the Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program.

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to invite applications to establish integrated and collaborative Stillbirth Research Centers, as part of a new Stillbirth Research Consortium. The Centers will support cutting-edge basic, translational, clinical, and/or data sciences research and generate knowledge to fuel advancement of stillbirth-relevant research in the United States, with a particular emphasis on approaches that utilize an equity lens to identify ways to decrease the incidence of stillbirth in vulnerable populations. A Data Coordinating Center (described in the companion announcement NOT-HD-24-010) will support the work of the research projects funded under the Stillbirth Research Consortium. This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants additional time to develop meaningful collaborations, interdisciplinary teams, and responsive applications. International collaboration is encouraged and allowable. The NOFO is expected to be published in Summer 2024 with an expected application due date in Winter 2024. The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for $216 million in competitive grants under the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Ferry Service for Rural Communities Program (FSRC) (Federal Assistance Listing #20.532). FSRC makes funding available competitively to assist in the financing of capital, planning, and operating assistance for eligible ferry services. This is a joint Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) and announces the availability of FY 2024 funding for the Passenger Ferry Grant Program (Passenger Ferry Program), Electric or Low-Emitting Ferry Pilot Program (LowNo Ferry Program), and Ferry Service for Rural Communities Program (Rural Ferry Program). All programs can be found under Federal Assistance Listing: 20.532. Federal public transportation law (49 U.S.C. 5307(h)) authorizes FTA to award grants for passenger ferries through a competitive process. The Passenger Ferry Program provides funding to designated recipients and direct recipients under FTA’s Urbanized Area Formula Program, as well as public entities engaged in providing public transportation passenger ferry service in urban areas that are eligible to be direct recipients. Projects funded under the program will improve the condition and quality of existing passenger ferry services, support the establishment of new passenger ferry services, and repair and modernize ferry boats, terminals, and related facilities and equipment. Section 71102 of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (also called the ‘‘Bipartisan Infrastructure Law’’ or ‘‘BIL’’) (Pub. L. 117–58) authorizes FTA to award grants for electric or lowemitting ferries through a competitive process, as described in this notice. The Low-No Ferry Program is available to any eligible designated or direct recipient of FTA’s Urbanized Area Formula Program or Formula Grants for Rural Areas funding, including States (including territories and Washington, DC), local governmental authorities, and tribal governments. Grants will be awarded under this program for the purchase of electric or low-emitting ferries, the electrification of or other reduction of emissions from existing ferries, and related charging or other fueling infrastructure (for which the applicants will maintain satisfactory continuing control) to reduce emissions or produce zero onboard emissions under normal operation. Section 71103 of the BIL authorizes FTA to award grants for the Rural Ferry Program through a competitive process, as described in this notice. The Rural Ferry Program provides funding for capital, operating, and planning expenses to States and territories for ferry service to rural areas. Applicants to this program are required to have operated ferry public transportation service on a regular schedule at any time during the five-year period from March 1, 2015, to March 1, 2020, and operated at least one route segment of more than 50 sailing (nautical) miles between two rural areas. The Department seeks to fund projects that advance the Departmental priorities of safety, equity, climate and sustainability, workforce development, job quality, and wealth creation as described in the USDOT Strategic Plan, Research, Development and Technology Strategic Plan, and in executive orders.1

This R21 funding opportunity encourages projects that test, in animals and/or humans, whether modifying electrophysiological patterns can improve cognitive, affective, or social processing. This R21 has a companion R01 (TEMP-10327). The proximal goal of this FOA (and its companion R01) is to encourage investigators to test whether modifying specific patterns of coordinated neural activity in vivo can improve cognitive, social, or affective processes.
