This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in creating accessible scholarly editions and translations of important humanities texts through collaborative projects.

This grant provides funding for U.S.-based nonprofit organizations and educational institutions to conduct archaeological and ethnographic field research that addresses significant humanities questions, with a focus on collaboration with local communities.

With this solicitation, BJA seeks to provide grants to jurisdictions to improve outcomes for adults on community supervision. The Second Chance Act (SCA) of 2007 (Public Law 110-199), reauthorized by the First Step Act of 2018, provides a comprehensive response to assist in the transition individuals make from adult confinement facilities (e.g., jails, prisons, detention centers) to their communities so that the transition is successful and promotes public safety. The SCA is designed to help communities develop and implement comprehensive strategies that address the challenges posed by reentry and recidivism reduction. The Smart Supervision Program is part of the SCA suite of programs in fiscal year (FY) 2024.

PD La Paz invites proposals for programs that strengthen people-to-people ties between the United States and Bolivia through cultural, educational, professional and scientific exchanges that highlight shared values and promote bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an U.S. cultural element, or connection with U.S. expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives.The PD Small Grants Program projects may include, but is not limited to:- Lectures, seminars, and speaker programs;- Artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances, and exhibitions;- Cultural heritage conservation and preservation projects;- Professional, cultural or academic exchanges and projects (including virtual exchanges with U.S. experts or communities);- Professional development workshops and training.

The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for a global project to 1) dissuade and deter governments from engaging in and/or facilitating transnational repression (TNR) activities and 2) mitigate the impact of TNR activities on individuals and communities. Competitive proposals will incorporate activities in at least three regions as defined by the State Department (Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia and the Pacific, Europe and Eurasia, Middle East and North Africa, South and Central Asia, and Western Hemisphere).

The Museums Empowered grant program, administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), supports projects that utilize professional development and training to create systemic change within museums. This special initiative of the Museums for America program targets four key areas of museum operations: digital technology, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), evaluation, and organizational management. Projects must align with one of these goals and demonstrate how professional development activities will advance institutional capacity and address strategic challenges. IMLS expects to award approximately $4,299,000 in total funding for fiscal year 2025, supporting around 20 projects. Awards range from $5,000 to $250,000, with an average award size of $214,950. Applicants must provide at least a one-to-one cost share using non-federal funds, except for research-focused projects where matching funds are not required. The performance period for funded projects may span one to three years, starting no earlier than September 1, 2025. Applications must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov by November 15, 2024, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Eligible applicants include museums located in the United States or its territories that meet IMLS’s criteria, such as employing professional staff, operating on a permanent basis for educational or cultural purposes, and regularly exhibiting objects to the public for at least 120 days annually. Museums operating within parent organizations, such as universities, must demonstrate operational independence, including a separate budget and decision-making authority. Collaborations and partnerships are encouraged to broaden project impact. The application requires a detailed narrative organized into three sections: project justification, work plan, and project results. Applicants must clearly identify the selected program goal and objective, describe the need or challenge addressed, outline specific activities, provide a timeline, and explain anticipated outcomes, including how the project will result in organizational growth or systemic change. Supporting documents such as a budget justification, performance measurement plan, resumes of key personnel, and letters of commitment from partners are also required. Applications are evaluated through a peer review process based on their alignment with program goals, the feasibility of the work plan, and the likelihood of achieving meaningful and sustainable results. Reviewers assess the clarity of the narrative, the qualifications of project personnel, and the proposed methods for tracking progress and measuring success. Projects are expected to foster long-term institutional improvements, with successful proposals demonstrating the ability to implement innovative and impactful professional development strategies. Awardees are required to comply with federal reporting requirements, including interim and final performance and financial reports submitted through IMLS’s electronic grants management system. Post-award responsibilities also include acknowledging IMLS funding in project materials and participating in assessments to evaluate program impact. IMLS program staff are available to provide technical assistance, and applicants are encouraged to participate in informational webinars to enhance proposal quality.

To implement a project aimed at advancing U.S. foreign policy and national security priorities by supporting initiatives that make decision-making structures and processes in fragile, conflict, or crisis-affected contexts more reflective of and responsive to the needs and perspectives of partner states to ensure strategic trade control systems meet international standards and by engaging on bilateral, regional and multilateral levels with foreign governments to aid in the establishment of independent capabilities to regulate transfers of weapons of mass destruction, WMD-related items, conventional arms, and related dual-use items, and to detect, interdict, investigate, and prosecute illicit transfers of such items.

This grant provides funding for institutions to digitize historically significant newspapers, making them accessible to the public through a national digital archive.

With this non-competitive solicitation, BJA seeks to request applications from 3 cooperative agreement recipients that have been previously funded to support national initiatives in justice and behavioral health collaboration (JBH). These projects have been funded to support state, local, tribal, and territorial criminal justice agencies, practitioners, and communities.

With this solicitation, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) seeks applications for funding programs that support cross-system collaboration to improve public safety responses and outcomes for individuals with mental health disorders (MHDs) or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (MHSUDs). BJA provides grant funding to help organizations prepare, create, or expand comprehensive plans and then implement these collaborative projects to target people who qualify. For the purposes of the FY24 solicitation, the program will focus on pretrial, prosecution, courts, probation/parole, and addressing the needs directly related to the criminal activity of adults with mental health conditions, living in homelessness or marginalized communities with minimal access to treatment, needing wrap around services, in the criminal justice system and leaving incarceration.

Proposed activities should directly align with the Global Engagement Center's (GEC) mission. As mandated by law, the GEC directs, leads, synchronizes, integrates, and coordinates efforts of the Federal Government to recognize, understand, expose, and counter foreign state and foreign non-state propaganda and disinformation efforts aimed at undermining or influencing the policies, security, or stability of the United States and United States allies and partner nations. GEC also identifies current and emerging trends in foreign propaganda and disinformation in order to coordinate and shape the development of tactics, techniques and procedures to expose and refute foreign propaganda and disinformation. In addition, GEC coordinates with United States allies and partner nations in order to amplify the Center’s efforts and to avoid duplication. GEC engages through partners to carry out these and other functions and to work toward associated policy goals. Additional Information on Eligibility The GEC may make awards through this solicitation to U.S. and foreign non-profit organizations, institutions of higher education, and commercial entities. Individuals, state and local governments, foreign public entities, and public international organizations are not eligible to apply. Before submitting, potential applicants should ensure that they are eligible to receive a grant or cooperative agreement and prepared to adhere to the terms of 2 CFR 200 and 2 CFR 600. The National Historical Publications and Records Commission seeks projects that will significantly improve public discovery and use of historical records collections. All types of historical records are eligible, including documents, photographs, born-digital records, and analog audio and moving images. Projects may focus on broad movements in U.S. history, such as law, politics, social reform, business, military, the arts, and other aspects of the national experience, or on the papers of individual figure(s) in American history. Collections that center the voices and document the history of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color are especially welcome. With the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence approaching, the Commission is especially interested in projects that promote discovery and access to collections that explore the ideals behind our nations founding and the continuous debate over those ideals to the present day. Major Collaborative Archival Initiatives must be collaborations among multiple institutions that undertake either of these two eligible activities to: digitize and publish as a virtual collection online historical records housed at multiple repositories but center on a common theme, organization, or important historical figure(s); or create and test new tools and methods for the archival field to enhance public access, especially for born-digital records. Projects that actively engage the public in the work of the project will be more competitive. If you have a project that will process and/or digitize collections and will not require more than $150,000 in grant funds, you should consult the Archival Projects program. A successful Major Collaborative Archival Initiative proposal will: demonstrate the value of the contents of the collections, outline a project that addresses best practices for the work, be appropriately staffed, propose a budget that accomplishes the project in a cost-effective manner, and outline activities that bring researchers to the collections included in the project as well as the rest of the repositorys holdings. Award Information A grant is for one to three years. Awards will be between $150,000 and $350,000. The NHPRC expects to make up to five grants in this category for a total of up to $1,000,000. Grants begin no earlier than January 1, 2025. The Commission requires that grant recipients acknowledge NHPRC grant assistance in all publicity, publications, and other products that result from its support. Eligibility Eligible applicants: U.S. nonprofit organizations or institutions U.S. colleges, universities, and other academic institutions State or local government agencies Federally-acknowledged or state-recognized Native American tribes or groups Projects must be collaborations that include at least one of the eligible activities described for this program. Applications must include all required elements (SF424, Project Narrative, NHPRC Budget form, and Supplemental Materials). Applications that do not meet either of these criteria will not be considered. In order to ensure eligibility, applicants should first review the rules and regulations governing NHPRC grants under the Administering an NHPRC Grant section. Cost Sharing The total costs of a project are shared between the NHPRC and the applicant organization. Cost sharing is required. The applicant's financial contribution may include both direct and indirect expenses, in-kind contributions, non-Federal third-party contributions, and any income earned directly by the project. NHPRC grant recipients are not permitted to use grant funds for indirect costs (as indicated in 2 CFR 2600.101). Indirect costs must be listed under the applicant's cost sharing contribution if they are included in the budget. The Commission provides no more than 50 percent of total project costs in the Major Collaborative Archival Initiatives program. Other Requirements Applicant organizations must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting an application, maintain SAM registration throughout the application and award process, and include a valid Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number in their application. Details on SAM registration and requesting a UEI number can be found at the System for Award Management website at https://sam.gov. It may take up to one month to register or reactivate your registration with SAM.gov and Grants.gov. NHPRC will not grant deadline extensions for lack of registration.

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Education Programs is accepting applications for the Dialogues on the Experience of War program. This program supports the study and discussion of important humanities sources about war and military service, in the belief that these sources can help U.S. military veterans and others think deeply and in dialogue about the issues that they raise. Dialogues discussion groups may include exclusively veterans (including a subset of veterans such as students or residents of a group facility); nonveteran students or members of the public; military-affiliated persons; or any mix of these groups.

USAID/Vietnam intends to issue a Cooperative Agreement for USAID/Vietnam's Inclusion III-b activity. The anticipated period of performance is from September 1, 2023 to December 31, 2026.
