Private Community Development Grants

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Forfeiture Fund is designed to support community-based anti-crime and anti-narcotics organizations in accordance with the Pennsylvania Controlled Substances Forfeiture Act and a court order from Sourovelis v. City of Philadelphia. This grant specifically focuses on organizations targeting at-risk youth through various programs, including after-school activities, violence and addiction prevention, recovery and rehabilitation from addiction, and reintegration and employment post-imprisonment with an emphasis on anti-crime/drug/violence initiatives. Funding is guided by the Office of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania and the US Department of Justice, aimed at grassroots community groups in Philadelphia with budgets of $5 million or less. The current grant cycle, running from 08/26 to 09/20, prioritizes Trauma, Healing and Support for Youth Impacted by Violence , offering grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.

The COVID-19 pandemic is not over, and it continues to impact disabled people’s access to education, employment, and community. The American Association of People with Disabilities' COVID-19 & Higher Education Advocacy Program will be providing Community Grants of $500-$5,000 to groups working to address issues in higher education felt by the disability community, especially as it related to issues created or made worse due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Applications are due May 15, 2024 at 8:59pm PT/11:59pm ET.

Grant Opportunity: Improving Youth Mental Health Overview: The Cigna Group Foundation is committed to addressing youth mental health challenges post-pandemic. With a focus on supporting underserved communities, the foundation is allocating $9 million over three years to fund evidence-informed programs and services. The goal is to increase access to mental health intervention, equip parents and caregivers, and promote social-emotional skills among youth. Farm Credit of the Virginias provides added support to our customer-owners and the rural communities we call home through our Charitable Contributions Fund, in which we extend grant funding to charitable organizations in our territory. The fund allows our cooperative to support the growth of agricultural programs, invest in the future of agriculture and enhance the quality of life in the rural communities we serve. Mission and Objectives Through the Charitable Contributions Fund, Farm Credit of the Virginias continues to build strong partnerships with organizations that preserve and promote farmers and families in our rural communities. Since its inception in 2000, the Diamondbacks Foundation has significantly contributed to youth sports in Arizona through the "Diamonds Back" Youth Field Building Program. This initiative has successfully built or refurbished 42 baseball and softball fields, offering children across the state access to quality playing facilities. The program, in collaboration with the corporate sponsor APS, local businesses, and donations from individual players, equips the fields with new lights, electronic scoreboards, fencing and backstops, as well as updated irrigation systems and field surfaces. The fields' locations are selected via a grant application process.
