The mission of AmeriCorps is to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic participation through service and volunteering. The following non-federal entities (all of which are defined in 2 CFR 200.1) are eligible to apply: - Indian Tribes - Institutions of higher education - Local governments, including school districts - Nonprofit organizations - State of Illinois agencies, departments, and commissions Organizations that propose to operate only in Illinois must apply through Serve Illinois Organizations that propose to operate AmeriCorps programs in more than one State or Territory must apply directly to AmeriCorps. Serve Illinois works under the leadership of the Commission of Volunteerism and Community Service to distribute and administer Illinois AmeriCorps State funding from AmeriCorps, the federal agency. AmeriCorps and Serve Illinois' legal authority to award these grants is found in the National and Community Service Act of 1990, as amended, (NCSA) (42 U.S.C. 12501 et seq.) Serve Illinois considers new cost reimbursement proposals from any eligible applicant, as defined above, to: - Assess the feasibility and fit to AmeriCorps with applicants’ ideas. - In close partnership and assistance from select Serve Illinois staff: develop internal controls, hire and train new staff and/or re-focusing and training existing staff, develop AmeriCorps specific policies and procedures, train in the areas of AmeriCorps member recruitment, enrollment, member supervision, and cost-reimbursement grant management. These various products will be developed in a structured, iterative process during the planning period using Serve Illinois’s Program Manual.

Other competitive priorities emphasize programs that advance health equity, incorporate a strong model of team-based primary care, and demonstrate a likelihood of sustainability beyond the grant period. The program's theory of change posits that by expanding clinical training opportunities, more qualified health professionals will be available to serve these critical areas, thereby improving health outcomes and reducing disparities. Expected outcomes include greater access to health care in rural and underserved urban Minnesota communities and a measurable increase in the number of clinical training opportunities for health professionals. The Minnesota Legislature has appropriated $500,000 annually for this program, with eligible clinical training programs potentially receiving up to $75,000 for a one-year planning project or up to $300,000 for a three-year expansion project. Eligible expenses cover a broad range of activities, from establishing and expanding clinical training for various health professionals to recruitment, training, student support, site improvements, and program evaluations, all designed to achieve these specific and measurable outcomes.

The subrecipient shall access the current utilization of CHWs in the State of Arizona. The subrecipient shall use results to inform and develop a statewide CHW workforce development plan to expand CHW curricula, training delivery, career ladders, integration of CHWs, promotion of CHW voluntary certification, and/or sustainable payment mechanisms for CHW services. EBIP is intended to encourage adoption for low-income individuals of electric bicycles as a replacement for motor vehicle trips. Consistent with the goals of SB 375, EBIP would increase access to clean transportation options while offsetting vehicle miles traveled (VMT) by way of incentivizing electric bicycles (e-bikes). A portion of project funds would support the development and administration of a virtual bike safety class, so that consumers understand bicycle road safety. EBIP will provide incentives for eligible e-bikes to income-qualified consumers at the time of purchase, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Furthermore, EBIP will pilot an approach that aims to 1) help people replace car trips with e-bike trips, 2) increase access to electric bicycles, and 3) reduce GHG emissions. EBIP will be administered and implemented through a partnership between CARB and a Grantee, selected via this completive solicitation. The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) is offering the Site Development Grant Program, aimed at enhancing Tennessee's nationally recognized Select Tennessee certified sites and preparing other locations for certification. Specific focuses include ensuring sites are at least 20 acres (10 acres in Tier 3 and 4 counties) and have undergone specific site evaluations for the Select TN certification program, PEP, or Invest Prep. Due diligence grants are limited to $100,000, while the maximum for other site development grants is $5,000,000. Expected outcomes include a significant increase in the number of certified, development-ready sites across Tennessee, leading to enhanced competitiveness for attracting businesses. Measurable results will include the number of sites improved, the square footage of speculative buildings constructed, the amount of brownfield acreage remediated, and ultimately, the number of new businesses attracted and jobs created. The program implicitly operates on a theory of change that improved infrastructure and development-ready sites directly lead to increased economic activity and a stronger statewide economy.

The Program Enhancement Project for Adult Education, as part of the AEFLA Section 231 Comprehensive Adult Education Services, aims to expand and enhance educational programs for adults in Connecticut. With an emphasis on improving basic skills and literacy, the project facilitates effective participation in society and the workforce. It supports a variety of activities including adult literacy, workplace education, family literacy, and English language acquisition, among others. This initiative, funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), encourages collaborations to avoid service duplication, address local needs, and ensure seamless educational transitions. The project is open for proposals from eligible agencies with the intent to award multi-year grants, ensuring sustained impact from fiscal year 2025 through 2028. Grant renewed every year. It will be a 4-year program ( last application probably around May 2027)

The purpose of the EECBG Program is to assist eligible local governments ("eligible entities") in implementing strategies to reduce fossil fuel emissions, reduce total energy use, improve energy efficiency, and build a clean and equitable energy economy. The Illinois EPA Office of Energy identified the following project topic areas for funding eligibility: Energy Planning and Energy Efficiency: Energy Audits, Building Upgrades. Entities may develop various programs and projects that address one or more of the purposes in a cost effective manner that is of maximum benefit to the population served. Funding may not be used for regularly scheduled maintenance.

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality runs an annual Electronic Waste Grants. This initiative aims to address electronic waste through projects focused on collection, transportation, processing, recycling, demanufacturing, and innovative approaches to disposal. Eligible projects are evaluated based on the sustainability and impact of their e-waste recovery efforts, including the minimization of e-waste volumes, job creation in Arkansas, and the effectiveness of investment in the projects. Eligible applicants include a wide range of entities within Arkansas, such as private industries, educational institutions, governmental bodies, non-profits, and regional solid waste management boards. The grant application is for activities such as historic resources survey, National Register nominations, preservation planning, design guidelines, information/education projects, historic structures reports, conditions assessment reports, structural assessment reports, preservation plans, architectural drawings, and specifications. Cemetery projects such as cemetery resource/monument surveys, groundpenetrating radar surveys, preservation plans, master plans, or conditions assessment reports are also eligible. This grant application also supports physical “bricks and mortar” rehabilitation activities for historic sitespecific buildings, structures, monuments, and places, including cemeteries and parks. Development project applications must provide the following three items to be considered eligible for HPF grant funding: a legal description of the property, listing in the National Register of Historic Places, and previous documentation of predevelopment/planning activities associated with the resource. At the completion of a development project, a preservation agreement or covenant is required for the property
