The purpose of this solicitation is to award grants to fund projects focused on geothermal energy and lithium recovery from geothermal brine that support local jurisdictions and private entities to advance the geothermal sector and related activities per Public Resource Code (PRC) Sections 3800-3827 and California Code of Regulations (CCR) Sections 1660-1665. ; This solicitation aims to support the goals of Senate Bill 100 (SB 100, De Leon, Chapter 312, Statures of 2018), Assembly Bill 32 (AB 32, Nunez, Chapter 488, Statutes of 2006), and SB 32 (Pavley, Chapter 249, Statutes of 2016) to meet the eligible renewable energy, zero-carbon energy, and greenhouse gas emission reduction goals. The proposed projects must not exceed thirty-six (36) months in length – the project term must be in alignment with the proposed project scope and budget, and it is encouraged to explain that alignment in the Project Narrative (Attachment 3). The proposed projects are limited to addressing one of the eligible purposes allowed by the Geothermal Grant and Loan Program, as presented in Section I.C., Project Focus, per PRC Section 3823. This solicitation will be conducted as a two-phase process. Phase one is for local jurisdictions that want to compete for technical assistance funds to develop and prepare the full proposal for this solicitation. Phase one applicants need to complete a 1) Technical Assistance Application Form, 2) Technical Assistance Project Summary, and 3) Technical Assistance Scope of Work. Phase two is for local jurisdictions and private entities to submit the full proposal, as indicated in Section I E. (Key Activities Schedule) of this solicitation. See Part II of this solicitation for applicant and project eligibility requirements. Phase one and Phase two applications will be evaluated as follows: (1) proposal screening and (2) proposal scoring, as fully described in Section IV. Applicants may submit multiple applications, though each application must address only one of the eligible purposes identified in Section 1 C. (Project Focus) of this solicitation. If an applicant submits multiple applications, each application must be for a distinct project (i.e., no overlap with respect to the tasks described in the Scope of Work).

The Department of Human Services (DHS) Family Services Administration (FSA) in the District of Columbia is offering grants for Fiscal Year 2025 to support youth and families. The expected outcomes include a reduction in truancy rates, a decrease in juvenile justice system involvement, and observable improvements in youth behavior and overall functioning. Measurable results will likely be tracked through attendance records, reported incidents, and assessments of social and emotional well-being. Eligibility for this RFA extends to local social services organizations, not-for-profit corporations, and charitable organizations, including faith-based groups, that serve the target population. Organizations incorporated as a not-for-profit or religious corporation or a public agency under District law, or those authorized to conduct corporate activities and provide care in the District with federal tax-exempt status, are also eligible. The total estimated program funding is up to $900,000.00, with an award ceiling of $200,000.00 and an award floor of $50,000.00. The period of performance is from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025.

The Aquatic Resource Mitigation (ARM) Fund in New Hampshire offers an alternative to permittee-responsible mitigation for unavoidable impacts to aquatic resources such as streams and wetlands through In-Lieu Fee (ILF) payments. Additionally, the grants are open to MBEs and individuals who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19, or those that predominantly serve businesses disproportionately affected by the pandemic. The impact goal is to provide crucial financial relief and support for these businesses, helping them to stabilize and grow during challenging economic times. The program prioritizes businesses based on their revenue tiers, offering different grant amounts accordingly. There are three applicant tiers: businesses with $10,000 to $75,000 in revenue are eligible for a $2,500 grant; those with $75,000 to $250,000 in revenue can receive a $5,000 grant; and businesses with $250,000 to $1.5 million in revenue are eligible for a $15,000 grant. This tiered approach ensures that businesses of varying sizes can access appropriate levels of support. The expected outcomes of the Lincoln & Gilbert Initiative include a substantial increase in the number of Black employer firms in Cincinnati. Measurable results will be tracked by monitoring the growth of these firms and their contributions to the local economy. The strategic theory of change is that by leveraging the knowledge and expertise of established economic development organizations—such as the Urban League of Greater Southwest Ohio, The Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce, the Cincinnati Chamber USA Minority Business Accelerator, the Greater Cincinnati Microenterprise Initiative (GCMI), MORTAR, and Lightship Foundation—the program can effectively provide the resources and support necessary to achieve its ambitious growth targets for MBEs.

The RPSA creates a comprehensive approach to ending Illinois' firearm violence through targeted, integrated behavioral health services and economic opportunities that promote self-sufficiency for victims of firearm violence.
