Increase the resume page limit in FOA Section V.D.iii. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022: State-Based Home Energy Efficiency Contractor Training Competitive Grant Program: The State-Based Home Energy Efficiency Contractor Training Grants, also known as the Training for Residential Energy Contractors (TREC) Program, seeks to accomplish three goals: (1) reduce the cost of training contractor employees by providing workforce development tools for contractors, their employees, and individuals including, but not limited to, subsidizing available training, testing certifications, and licenses for high-quality jobs; (2) provide testing and certifications of contractors trained and educated to install home energy efficiency and electrification technologies and deliver residential energy efficiency and electrification improvements; and (3) fund states to partner with nonprofit organizations to develop and implement a State sponsored workforce program that attracts and trains a diverse set of local workers to deliver the influx of new federally-funded energy efficiency and electrification programsincluding the IRA-funded Home Efficiency Rebates Program, Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates Program (Home Energy Rebates Programs); and Energy Efficiency Home Improvement Credit. This program was established by Section 50123 of the Inflation Reduction Act. For this competitive program, DOE is making up to $40 million in TREC funds available to states, territories, and the District of Columbia to complement the previously announced TREC formula funding. Topic Area Description Topic Area 1: Training Small Contractor Firms State Energy Offices may use topic area one funding to train and certify small contractor firms and their employees to deliver energy efficiency and electrification improvements. DOE will fund States to support existing small contractor firms through training and certifications so that the contractor firm employees can deliver energy efficiency and electrification improvements eligible for rebates under the Home Efficiency Rebates Program or the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates Program. Topic Area 2: Innovative, Effective, and Equitable Workforce Development Programs State Energy Offices may use topic area two funding to implement innovative, effective, and equitable workforce development program models that deliver contractor training program curriculum. States can collaborate with nonprofit organizations to design/enhance and implement workforce development, training, certification, and employment programs that train, test, and certify underrepresented populations, new entrants to the workforce, youth ages 17-25, incumbent workers, displaced workers, and contractors to conduct home energy efficiency and electrification improvements under the Home Energy Rebates Programs. AZ Action Plan to End Homeless Veterans Introduction: ADVS provides critical, statewide coordination and technical assistance to services and organizations serving Veterans. Veteran Toolkit Introduction: ADVS with the help of the Arizona Coalition for Military Families has launched the roadmap to Veterans Employment. This strategy outlines various initiatives to assist Veterans with obtaining employment. As often is the case, the veteran has been unemployed or under employed, and may not have the funds to buy the required protective equipment, tools, or supplies needed for work. Project Objectives: The purpose of this section is to outline the scope of work of the grantee and deliverables due to ADVS. Grantee will receive referrals from employment service providers (DVOP, LVER, Community workforce development services etc.) and provide identified veteran recipients with an intervention that enables gainful employment. Grantee will ensure that the intervention occurs within 48 hours of a regular workweek. All monetary interventions must be receipted and submitted monthly for ADVS reporting. Financial assistance may not be given directly to the veteran; equipment, tools, and supplies must be acquired for them. Veteran must sign and acknowledge they have received assistance, to include any items purchased for obtaining gainful employment. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The U.S. Embassy Morocco is pleased to announce an open grant competition to award a cooperative agreement to organize the DigiGirlz Alumni Incubator Program. The Embassys Public Affairs Office invites proposals from established Moroccan associations, committed, and organized civil-society organizations to implement the "DigiGirlz Alumnae Incubator Program" which builds on prior U.S. investments in Moroccan women and girls, specifically through the long-standing DigiGirlz Mentorship Program. The DigiGirlz Mentorship Program was established in 2017 and more than 2000 alumnae have graduated from the program thus far. The DigiGirlz Alumni Incubator Program aims to further train and empower select alumnae of the DigiGirlz Mentorship Program, building upon their existing ideas and skills, and taking them from project ideation to implementation, through advanced training and mentorship, and providing them with unparalleled networking opportunities and seed funding for proposed start-ups. The program is poised to accelerate sustainable entrepreneurial initiatives that directly combat the climate crisis. Seed funding will be provided to up to ten teams, with each team consisting of between 1-15 participants drawn from our DigiGirlz alumnae network. Please follow all instructions below. Program Objectives: The programs goals and objectives are to: 1- Foster Women-Led STEM Innovation: The incubation program aims to significantly increase the number of women leading STEM-based startups and innovations. This is achieved by offering select participants targeted mentorship, as well as material, financial, and other support, particularly in the areas of entrepreneurship and technology development. The focus is on encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM and to become innovators and leaders in their fields. 2- Cultivate an Equitable STEM Startup Ecosystem: The program is dedicated to breaking down the barriers and biases that hinder women's participation in STEM entrepreneurship. Efforts will be focused on creating an inclusive and equitable environment within the STEM startup community. The Volunteer Firefighter Pension Fund Program supports local governments in offering retirement benefits to attract volunteer firefighters. The United Engineering Foundation provides grants to advance engineering arts and sciences for the welfare of humanity. The foundation prioritizes programs in diversity, emerging technologies, engineering ethics, safety, security and leadership, and kindergarten through grade 12 education. Preference is given to innovative, broad based, interdisciplinary programs that integrate multiple engineering fields, include community outreach, and are collaborative across organizations.
