The Neighborhood Micro Grant Program (NMGP) aims to support events and projects that enhance neighborhood spirit, collaboration, and revitalization efforts. NMGP will provide up to $1,500 for goods and services to support approved events and projects focused on blight reduction, financial or employment training, crime awareness, fair housing, health services, and mental health services citywide. Eligible public service events/projects must have the support of the neighborhood organization’s governing body and the affected neighborhood. The grants will be disbursed directly to neighborhood associations with a tax ID number or fiscal agent. This program aims to provide technical assistance (TA) to employers (which may include public sector entities) and labor unions in the United States and its territories to encourage employment of women in both apprenticeable occupations and nontraditional occupations (A/NTO), specifically in the following ways:Developing (establishing, expanding, and/or enhancing) pre-apprenticeship, youth apprenticeship, Registered Apprenticeship (as defined in Appendix B "Acronyms and Definitions"), or other nontraditional skills training programs designed to prepare women for careers in A/NTO;Providing ongoing orientations or other resources for employers, unions, and workers on creating a successful environment for women in A/NTO; and/orSetting up support groups, facilitating networks, and/or providing supportive services (as defined in section IV.E.3) for women in A/NTO to improve their retention.Applicants may propose to provide technical assistance to support womens participation and success in the full range of industries in which women are historically underrepresented or where women are disproportionately concentrated in the lower-wage occupations. Such industries include, but are not limited to; advanced manufacturing, construction, energy, health care, information technology, finance, and transportation. Applicants with experience working with or as an equity intermediary are encouraged to apply, as well as applicants with a proposed focus on expanding outreach/recruitment to historically underrepresented communities, including but not limited to women of color and women with disabilities, women at or below the federal poverty line, formerly incarcerated women, immigrant women, transgender women, and women who live in rural geographic areas. Applicants that plan to accelerate local or state government agency efforts to increase womens inclusion and equity in projects funded through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law or BIL), CHIPS and Science Act, Inflation Reduction Act, or other federal funding are also encouraged to apply. For the purposes of this FOA, the term "woman" or "women" is to be interpreted in the most inclusive manner with participant eligibility to be inclusive of transgender women and non-binary individuals.To be eligible for funds under this grant program, an applicant must be a community-based organization (CBO). Grant Opportunity: Cattaraugus County Microenterprise Assistance Program Grant (New York) This program provides funding for microenterprises with five or fewer employees, owned by individuals meeting low- or moderate-income criteria as defined by HUD. Not-for-profit corporations are not eligible. Both existing and startup micro-businesses can apply, with startups defined as businesses that have filed structure documentation within the last 6 months. This program will allow award recipients to undertake projects to assist marginalized and underserved women workers who have been impacted by gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH) in the world of work, which includes activities that occur in the course of, linked with, or arising out of work. Grant recipients will undertake projects to prevent and respond to GBVH, which is pervasive across industries and deeply impacts the safety and economic security of women workers and survivors. Survivors of GBVH often suffer the loss of other employment rights and benefits. Grant recipients will address GBVH in the world of work by building awareness, connecting women to federal and state workplace rights and benefits, and implementing worker and survivor-driven strategies to shift workplace norms. Selected awardees will work to reach women workers and survivors with a particular focus on underserved and marginalized women workers who are disproportionately impacted by GBVH, including but not limited to women of color, women with disabilities, justice system-impacted women, individuals who identify as LGBTQI+, marginalized workers in women-dominated sectors, ethnic minorities, immigrants, workers with limited English proficiency and workers experiencing substance abuse issues, homelessness, or chronic poverty. SCRIPT Workshop Grants are available to assist Iowa school districts and accredited nonpublic schools with the cost for substitutes or stipends to attend a SCRIPT Workshop, where they will begin the development of their K-12 computer science plan. The grants aim to support the implementation of a 2020 state law, HF 2629, which mandates districts and nonpublic schools to develop and implement a kindergarten through grade twelve computer science plan by July 1, 2022. This plan should incorporate the standards.
