The purpose of the grant is to provide academic instruction and education services below the postsecondary level. Services include Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, English as a Second Language and Corrections Education. Adult Education, as part of the Workforce Innovations and Opportunity Act (WIOA), provides services to adults to build the knowledge and skills necessary for high school equivalency (HiSET), employment, post-secondary opportunities, and economic self-sustainability.

CAL FIRE's Wood Products and Bioenergy team seeks to maintain and enhance the wood products infrastructure of California to promote healthy resilient forests throughout the state by supporting a diverse set of business development and workforce development projects.  ; Eligible business development projects include facilities, operations, and professional services that support the restoration of healthy, resilient forests.   Eligible workforce development projects include universities, colleges, government and community organizations, and businesses that aim to increase workforce capacity in the fields of logging, fuels treatment, transportation, manufacturing, or other support services that bolster the development of a resilient forest sector workforce.   Research and development projects related to both business and workforce development will also be considered. Agency Name: U.S. Department of Labor/ Bureau of International Labor Affairs Description:The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) seeks input, advice, knowledge, recommendations, and promising practices focused on the relationship between disability rights and access to decent work from a broader audience that is experienced in strengthening engagement for disabled persons, including disabled workers, and supporting disability inclusion and economic empowerment as potential strategies and remedies. The associated RFI questions are contained in Attachment 1. The RFI will be used to identify research gaps, promising approaches, practices, and policies that reduce discrimination and barriers that hinder equitable access to education, employment, and social protection services.

Summary – In accordance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the new four-year NFJP grant cycle went into effect on July 1, 2020. The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is issuing this TEGL to notify NFJP grantees of PY 2023 grant allotments and to provide instructions for submitting required documents. Grantees must submit required documents, including program plans and budget documents. NFJP grantees approved to serve youth in PY 2022 and who met their youth enrollment goals may also apply for additional youth funding via this TEGL. Please see the summary provided in section 3(c). ETA is using a streamlined application process for these funds and limiting the competition to existing NFJP grantees who were both approved to serve youth in PY 2022 and met 100 percent of their youth enrollment goals. To confirm if a grantee met their youth enrollment targets, ETA will use the rolling four quarters performance report for the cohort period 1/1/2022 – 12/31/2022. These additional funds will enable successful applicants to enhance the delivery of youth workforce investment activities described in the NFJP regulations at 20 CFR 685.310 to eligible MSFW youth, which include the activities described for the WIOA Youth program in WIOA section 129 and 20 CFR 681.460. This funding provides additional resources so that selected NFJP grantees can increase access to education and provide career services and training that result in good quality jobs for MSFW youth, which advances the Department’s youth strategy called Youth Employment Works. Established in 1959, The Henry and Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Foundation is committed to improving the human condition through promoting life-long educational opportunities and a spectrum of cultural programming. The Foundation focuses its grantmaking primarily in the Baltimore area, awarding grants to nonprofit organizations sponsoring high quality programs in three program areas: Arts and Culture, Youth Development, and Adult Self-Sufficiency. To do great work, nonprofits and municipalities need strong leaders, clear plans, efficient systems, and a robust, diversified revenue stream. This takes investment in staff and time to explore and plan—something for which many nonprofits on limited or restricted budgets have few resources to spare. In response to this gap in the resources needed to strengthen organizations, the Vermont Community Foundation has created a small fund to help. The application is designed to be easy to complete and notification is within 6-8 weeks. We welcome applications to support your organization’s planning needs around achieving your mission, through strategic planning, merger conversations, or similar efforts. Grants will be no more than $5,000 each and will support the cost of consultants for the activities below. These grants are meant to supplement other funding, as we understand that this amount is typically not enough to cover the full cost of providing these services. In the project budget, please show the additional revenue sources to be used for this work, both pending and secured. We welcome the use of these funds as challenge grants to secure the additional funds. The program will prioritize applicants with operating budgets of $500,000 or less.

Expand the reach of media literacy and support the media education programs of Spanish institutions with useful and accurate tools to increase understanding of false information and other tactics, to render misinformation campaigns targeting Spain ineffective. Communicate about the common values that the United States, Spain and the EU share and about the promotion of respect for human rights, democracy and the need for democratic changes in places like Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, the power of the law against impunity, privacy, international order based on common rules, and a fair playing field. Encourage collaboration between Spanish and /or Andorran and American organizations that share the defense of human rights. Explore topics such as the rights of LGBTQI + community, racism, sexism, and the rights of people with disabilities. Promote the rights and equality of women, ethnic and religious minorities, the LGBTQI + community, refugees and migrants, people with disabilities and other marginalized populations in Spain and / or Andorra. All programs should ensure they promote diversity and inclusion. Please be aware that projects funded through this APSmustinclude an American element.That could involve a connection or partnership between Spanish and/or Andorran and American organizations or institutions.For example, an American expert could take part, in person or virtually, in your project.Activities might highlight or examine shared values between Spain and/or Andorra and the United States, national interests, etc.You may incorporate a U.S. approach or method you have learned about to addressing an issue or challenge facing your community, institution, or profession. Grant activities may take any number of forms, including academic competitions, cross-border exchanges, conferences, workshops, courses, curriculum development, exhibits, hackathons or app development, online projects, mock trials or moot court competitions, simulations and role-playing activities (e.g., Model Congress, Model United Nations), performances, or other activities. Project timelines should start no earlier than December 1, 2021, and start no later than September 30, 2022, with all activities being completed no later than December 2023. All activities and your evaluation or assessment of the project should be completed within 18 months of starting the project.
