The Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program provides financial assistance to organizations and entities working to preserve historic Japanese American confinement sites and their history, including: private nonprofit organizations; educational institutions; state, local, and tribal governments; and other public entities, for the preservation and interpretation of U.S. confinement sites where Japanese Americans were detained during World War II. The authorizing legislation for the Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program identifies up to $38 million for the entire life of the grant program for projects to identify, research, evaluate, interpret, protect, restore, repair, and acquire historic confinement sites in order that present and future generations may learn and gain inspiration from these sites and that these sites will demonstrate the Nations commitment to equal justice under the law (Public Law 109-441, 120 Stat. 3288; as amended by Public Law 111-88). Projects funded through the Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program must benefit one or more historic Japanese American confinement sites. The term historic confinement sites is defined as the ten War Relocation Authority sites (Gila River, Granada, Heart Mountain, Jerome, Manzanar, Minidoka, Poston, Rohwer, Topaz, and Tule Lake), as well as other historically significant locations, as determined by the Secretary of the Interior, where Japanese Americans were detained during World War II. These sites are specifically identified in Confinement and Ethnicity: An Overview of World War II Japanese American Relocation Sites, published by the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Western Archaeological and Conservation Center, in 1999. With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks applications for funding to support training and technical assistance for project sites funding under the Supporting Effective Interventions for Youth with Problematic or Illegal Sexual Behavior program. This program furthers the DOJs mission by reducing violent crime, combating victimization, and enhancing public safety.

This funding opportunity supports not-for-profit organizations and educational institutions in the DRC to implement projects that foster U.S.-DRC cooperation in areas like media literacy, peace-building, and sustainable economic growth.

The specific research question to be addressed by this agreement is How do bed material loads, hydraulic roughness, and bedform regimes change based on hydraulic parameters, such as temperature, shear stress, stream power, slope, water velocity, etc. To answer this complex research question, a bed material load sediment transport capacity function will be derived using the best available data, including USGS suspended sediment concentration/load and the Missouri River 2014 sediment data collection effort. A bedform/roughness predictor algorithm will also be developed for the Missouri River. The effectiveness of these algorithms at predicting observed data must be demonstrated in a journal article to be coauthored by USACE. The methodology and results must also be discussed in the journal article. Two in-person meetings will be held (kickoff and final presentation) between USACE and the award recipient, as well as monthly virtual meetings.

The Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP) is authorized and funded by Section 30002 of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, (Public Law 117-169) (the IRA), titled Improving Energy Efficiency or Water Efficiency or Climate Resilience of Affordable Housing. The program seeks to amplify recent technological advancements in utility efficiency and energy generation, bring a new focus on preparing for climate hazards by reducing residents and properties exposure to hazards, and protecting life, livability, and property when disaster strikes. GRRP is the first HUD program to simultaneously invest in energy efficiency, energy generation, and climate resilience strategies specifically in HUD-assisted multifamily housing. All of the investments under the GRRP will be made in affordable housing communities serving low-income families in alignment with the Administrations Justice 40 goals.HUD is offering GRRP funding through three separate cohorts designed to meet the different needs of HUDs assisted multifamily portfolio. Round One of the GRRP consists of three cohorts of awards, implemented through three parallel Notices of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs):The Elements NOFO provides modest awards designed to add proven and highly impactful climate resilience and carbon reduction measures to the construction scopes of in-progress recapitalization transactions.The Leading Edge NOFO provides funding to Owners aiming to quickly meet ambitious carbon reduction and resilience goals without requiring extensive collaboration with HUD.The Comprehensive NOFO provides funding to initiate recapitalization investments designed from inception around deep retrofits, focused on innovative energy efficiency and greening measures, renewable energy generation, use of structural building materials with lower embodied carbon, and climate resilience investments. Comprehensive Awards are designed for the widest range of properties, including those that have not yet developed a recapitalization plan.To the greatest extent feasible, these approaches will:Substantially improve energy and water efficiency, including moving properties toward net zero, zero energy ready, or zero over time energy performance; /Address climate resilience, including synergies that can be achieved between efficiency and resilience investments;Enhance indoor air quality and resident health;Implement the use of zero-emission electricity generation and energy storage;Minimize embodied carbon and incorporate low-emission building materials or processes; andSupport building electrification.

This funding opportunity supports research partnerships focused on understanding and mitigating the impacts of floods globally, specifically targeting current partners of the North Atlantic Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit.

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS) announces the availability of funds for a Diaper Distribution Demonstration and Research Pilot (DDDRP). OCS will make approximately $8.4 million available through a competitive grant process. OCS expects to award approximately seven cooperative agreements to eligible Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) state associations, tribes that were funded directly by CSBG in fiscal year (FY) 2024, and CSBG-funded territories. Recipients will partner with community action agencies (CAAs), local social service agencies, and/or other non-profit community organizations to operate and expand diaper distribution programs for families with low incomes.The purpose of the DDDRP is to evaluate the ability of CAAs, social services agencies, and other non-profit community organizations to provide diapers and diapering supplies on a consistent basis through diaper distribution programs while also providing wraparound support services for families with low incomes.As part of the pilot and in cooperation with the recipients, OCS will conduct a robust evaluation to collect pertinent information to assess DDDRP grant recipients use of the funding to support low-income families by expanding ongoing diaper distribution programs (i.e., programs where families can receive diapers on a consistent basis) that also offer wraparound support services.Recipients will participate fully in a federal evaluation and follow all evaluation protocols established by ACF and/or its designee contractor(s). Fully participating in a federal evaluation may include supporting and complying with special data collection requirements; providing additional administrative data on program participation or service receipt; facilitating on-site meetings and observations, including interviews with program and partner managers and staff as well as participants and other activities. In addition, the federal evaluation may include an evaluation of the DDDRP's implementation, program and participant outcomes associated with DDDRP, an examination of ongoing diaper distributions as an anti-poverty strategy, and an assessment of the effectiveness of DDDRP.

The "Service Area Competition" grant, administered by HRSA, aims to allocate approximately $244 million to up to 88 organizations to continue providing affordable, comprehensive primary health care services to underserved communities in the U.S., with a focus on vulnerable populations, from May 2025 to April 2028.

Two thirds of the population feel that economic hardship and corruption plague their countries, with trust in government decreasing since 2015. The Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Local Grants Programs mission is to sustain the United States commitment to strengthen direct partnerships with local actors to promote prosperity and participatory governance. Its objectives are to support civil society organizations in (1) developing, promoting, and implementing locally-designed solutions to self-identified environmental, economic, or social problems through civic engagement or economic participation; (2) fostering inclusive economic growth that reaches marginalized communities, youth, and women; (3) advancing participatory governance through promoting citizens engagement and decision-makers willingness to work with citizen groups and civil society organizations (CSOs); (4) improving civil societys representation of the needs of citizens through collective action on the local level; (5) working towards gender parity in economics and/or politics; (6) increasing youth engagement in meaningful economic and civic activities; and (7) fostering innovative approaches to solving social, economic, or political issues.

Ladies and Gentlemen: Pursuant to FAR 52.215-3 Request for Information (RFI), the United States Government represented by the United States Agency for International Development, Ghana Mission (USAID/Ghana) is conducting market research and seeking comments only from local entities on the attached Activity Description marked (Attachment A) for its anticipated USAID/Ghana Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs) and Classroom Furniture activity. The Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly program provides Capital Advance funding for the development of supportive rental housing for Very-Low-Income persons aged 62 years or older and project rental subsidies in the form of a Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC) to maintain ongoing affordability. This program provides elderly persons with the opportunity to live independently, but with important voluntary support services such as nutritional, transportation, continuing education, and/or health-related services. In addition, this years NOFO includes funding to support the development of intergenerational housing for elderly caregivers raising children. Intergenerational dwelling units are also referred to as 'intergenerational housing' in this NOFO.Capital Advance funds must be used to finance construction, reconstruction, moderate or substantial rehabilitation, or acquisition of a structure with or without rehabilitation. Capital Advance funds bear no interest and repayment is not required provided the housing remains available for occupancy by Very-Low-Income Elderly Persons for at least 40 years.Project Rental Assistance Contracts (PRAC) are used to cover the difference between the tenants' contributions toward rent and the HUD approved cost to operate the project, including the cost of employing a service coordinator and HUD approved service expenses (see 24 CFR 891.205).HUD encourages applicants to use Capital Advance funds in combination with other non-Section 202 funding, but they may only be used in connection with units that will be assisted under the PRAC. PRAC units may be developed or placed within a property that also includes non-PRAC residential units (whether restricted as affordable or rented at market rates) and non-residential units (such as first floor commercial space).HUD seeks to fund Section 202 properties that advance housing for the elderly as a platform for living independently and aging in community even as residents may require more assistance with activities of daily living over time. Through this NOFO, HUD seeks sponsors that:Will produce housing that is physically designed to promote the long-term wellness of Elderly Persons and allow them to age in place;Can provide a robust package of services that support the health and social well-being of Elderly Persons; andLeverage Capital Advance funds with other financing sources to maximize the number of units created per dollar of HUD funding.Per 24 CFR 891.809, Capital Advance Funds can NOT be used: For acquisition of facilities currently owned and operated by the Sponsor as housing for the elderly, except with rehabilitation as defined in 24 CFR 891.105;For the financing or refinancing of currently Federally assisted or Federally-insured units (this includes projects currently encumbered by FHA-insured debt and Flexible Subsidy Loans, as well as existing 202 Capital Advance and Direct Loan projects);For units in Section 202 direct loan projects previously refinanced under the provisions of Section 811 of the American Homeownership and Economic Opportunity Act of 2000, 12 U.S.C. 1701q note; andTo construct or operate nursing homes, infirmaries, assisted living facilities, medical facilities, mobile homes, community centers, headquarters for organizations for the elderly, or residential units without individual kitchens and/or bathrooms (also known as "single room occupancy units" or SROs) that are not shared.
