The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad seeks proposals for a project called Iraqi High School Eco Action Clubs. The proposed project will consist of establishing and managing Eco Action Clubs in conjunction with six high schools in Baghdad and its surrounding areas. The implementer will identify and develop 60-100 young environmental champions from these school clubs. The implementer will be responsible to the schools outreach and facilitate the Iraqi Ministry of Education required approvals. This program will prepare high school students to advocate for environmental reform and raise awareness to protect the environment in Baghdad, the most populated city in Iraq. The program implementer will work with the participating schools to create Eco Action Clubs through volunteerism amongst high school students. The grantee will select 60-100 students targeted school-aged youth with teachers, highlighting and advocating conservation and management of the environment and climate. Specifically, the grantee will work with the participating schools, and the U.S. Embassy will approve venues.

This funding opportunity provides financial and administrative support to assist Tribal and Alaska Native pesticide programs in collaborating with the EPA and other agencies, enhancing program development, and sharing information among Tribal officials.

The Vision Partnership Program (VPP) – Cash Grant is offered by Chester County to its municipalities and multi-municipal groups. Established in 1996, and revised in 2010 and 2019 to align with Landscapes and then Landscapes2 and Landscapes3, the program aims to improve planning efforts at the local level. This grant program is deeply aligned with Chester County's comprehensive plan, Landscapes3, by promoting consistency and implementation of its goals, objectives, recommendations, and map. The core mission of the VPP is to foster cooperation between local governments and the County to achieve impactful, lasting, and positive benefits through innovative municipal and multi-municipal planning. The VPP targets all Chester County municipalities that have endorsed or acknowledged Landscapes3, including single municipalities or multi-municipal groups. The program aims to achieve a variety of impact goals, such as advancing consistency with the county comprehensive plan, accomplishing positive benefits for municipalities through innovative planning, and addressing community concerns through new and revised municipal plans, ordinances, and planning studies. The program prioritizes projects enabled by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC), Act 247, and also includes "Planning Studies" for projects not adopted under the MPC. The VPP focuses on a broad range of eligible projects. These include comprehensive plans, open space, park, and recreation plans, zoning and subdivision ordinances and amendments (covering topics like agriculture, historic resources, natural resources, housing, and traditional neighborhood development), official maps and ordinances, urban center revitalization plans, resource protection/stewardship plans, environmental and community sustainability/resilience plans, community design guides, village master plans, heritage interpretation plans, historic resource surveys, housing plans/studies, economic development studies, transportation corridor plans/studies, streetscape master plans, multimodal plans/studies, trail feasibility studies, and plans/ordinances that support the transition to renewable or alternative energy, as well as agricultural economic development plans. Expected outcomes of the VPP include the successful adoption of plans or ordinances, for which grants of $50,000 are provided, with an additional $10,000 for each additional municipality involved. For planning studies, the expected outcome is acceptance, with grants of $30,000 plus $5,000 for each additional municipality. The strategic priorities of Chester County, as evidenced by the VPP, are to support local governments in developing robust planning programs that align with the county's comprehensive vision, ultimately leading to well-planned, sustainable communities. The theory of change is that by providing financial incentives and guidance, municipalities will be empowered to implement the principles of Landscapes3, resulting in tangible community improvements and a coordinated approach to regional development.

Eligible applicants must be registered associations in St. Petersburg with no outstanding grants from the City, except from round two of this program. Projects must be completed within 12 months and adhere to specific planting requirements.

The U.S. Embassy Kyiv's Public Diplomacy Small Grants (PDSG) Program focused on EDUCATION is an open competition seeking applications from Ukrainian non-government, non-profit organizations. The program's core objective, aligned with U.S. Public Diplomacy goals, is to support projects that strengthen Ukraine’s educational system as a vital contributor to the nation's post-war restoration and development. Projects are expected to be administered by Ukrainian NGOs in collaboration with local education counterparts like colleges, universities, and government entities, with collaboration or partnerships with U.S. organizations and the use of U.S. concepts/experts highly encouraged. Preference is explicitly given to proposals that demonstrate clear, sustainable results and strengthen US-Ukraine people-to-people ties or have the potential for lasting engagement between institutions. The primary beneficiaries and key participants are Ukrainian stakeholders in education—those with the ability to shape the sector to address the pragmatic challenges of the post-war recovery period. The specific target audience includes social groups most affected by the war, such as veterans, individuals with disabilities, and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), as well as key decision-makers in crisis circumstances. The overarching impact goal is to modernize and expand Ukraine's education system to integrate vulnerable populations and effectively connect the education system to the specific, immediate demands of the labor market for economic recovery and growth. The grant outlines four specific thematic priorities. The first is promoting collaboration between educational institutions, employers, and government to produce a qualified workforce for economic recovery, including the design of dual education programs and new study plans adjusted to employer needs. Second is the development of training and programs for individuals with disabilities, veterans, and IDPs, which may include piloting centers for veterans services and disabilities services at universities, focusing on entrepreneurship and vocational re-training. The third priority is supporting the optimization of the educational system in response to war and reconstruction challenges, ensuring access to high-quality education, and aligning with Euro-Atlantic aspirations. Finally, the fourth priority focuses on developing civic education programs for Ukrainian students and adults to facilitate social cohesion and the reintegration of citizens from occupied territories and those sheltered abroad. The program's theory of change is that by leveraging U.S. expertise and fostering deep, lasting US-Ukraine institutional engagement, the modernization of Ukraine's education system will directly address post-war challenges, drive economic recovery, and facilitate societal stability. The strategic priority is to support the continuity and modernization of Ukrainian education to ensure a qualified workforce and reintegrate its most vulnerable populations. The expected outcomes are measurable and sustainable improvements; consequently, all proposals must include a rigorous monitoring and evaluation plan with clearly defined indicators to ensure the realization of project goals is quantifiable and verifiable.
