A. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Embassy Tbilisi is pleased to announce the 2024 Book Translation Program. Through funding translation of key works into Georgian PDS aims to increase the accessibility and affordability of the latest research, analysis, and popular contemporary literature by American authors to the Georgian students, researchers and the general public. B. FEDERAL AWARD INFORMATION Length of performance period: Maximum project period is 2 years. Number of awards anticipated: 15 awards (dependent on amounts requested in approved proposals). Award amounts: U.S. Embassy Tbilisi grant will cover up to 70% of the total project budged. Total available funding: $100,000 Funding Request Ceiling: $10,000 Type of Funding: Economic Support Funds under the Foreign Assistance Act. Funding Instrument Type: Grant, Fixed Amount Award. 1. Cost Sharing or Matching The program requires minimum 30% cost-share. Cost-share might come from the applicant organization or other sources. In case of co-funding from other organization, an approval letter from the relevant organization is required (indicating amount and category of expenses). Allowable costs: Allowable costs are those directly related to the project activities: copyright, translation, editing, proofreading, design, printing, and promotional public events. 2. Other Requirements Under the project requesting both print and e-books are allowable. In case of print books, minimum print-run required is 1,000 (smaller print-run considered per terms of the individual project, especially for textbooks by education institutions). In case of e-book projects, specific terms needs to be cooperated with the copyright holder party. Textbooks and academic literature should be the latest editions. The grant recipient is responsible for requesting permission from the copyright holder. Applicant should start negotiation with the copyright holder before submission of proposal and present copy of communication or draft of the contract with other requested documents. After selection as a finalist, the applicant is required to present a copy of the copyright agreement signed by both parties. Each applicant can submit up to five (5) proposals per call. Organization can submit projects on both deadlines, but same proposals cannot be re-submitted on the second call of the same year. Eligible works should be previously unpublished in Georgian. Publications should be translated from the original language. In joint projects letters of support from project partners describing the roles and responsibilities of each partner are required. Post-publication book promoting activities are highly encouraged, e.g. book launching event and presentation, book readings and discussions, social media campaigns, contests, etc. Cooperating on the activities with American Spaces in regions is highly recommended. Programs focused on youth and youth education to ensure the memory of WWII is not forgotten by the younger generations in Luxembourg. The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Workforce Development (LEO-WD) is offering a grant opportunity called the Martin Luther King, Jr. - César Chávez - Rosa Parks (KCP) Initiative, Select Student Support Services (4S) funding. The 4S program is one of seven core programs under KCP and aims to develop retention programs for academically or economically disadvantaged legal residents of Michigan enrolled at 4-year public and independent educational institutions in the state. This is an Annual Program Statement, outlining our funding priorities, the strategic themes we focus on, and the procedures for submitting requests for funding. Purpose of Small Grants: PDS Burkina Faso invites proposals for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and BURKINA FASO through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. Examples of PDS Small Grants Program programs include, but are not limited to: Academic and professional lectures, seminars and speaker programs; Artistic and cultural workshops, joint performances and exhibitions; Cultural heritage conservation and preservation programs; Professional and academic exchanges and programs; Civic education projects that promote democratic processes and human rights; New media concepts projects aimed at reaching wider audiences; Youth community service projects that promote democratic processes and encourage volunteerism; Development of initiatives aimed at maintaining contacts with alumni of U.S. exchange programs. Priority Program Areas: Programs to bolster understanding and practices of Democracy, Human Rights, and Good Governance. Award Details: Grants of up to $1,000 are available for eligible projects. A one-to-one match is required, which can include in-kind support such as volunteer hours or donated materials. Only one application per school per year will be accepted. The grant is renewed annually, with a deadline for applications on May 1st. Applicants will be notified within six weeks. Eligibility: - Applicants must be teachers at a Wisconsin public school (K-12). - Projects must address the grantmaking priorities and meet the eligibility requirements. - Proof of IRS tax-exempt status (IRS form 501c3 tax determination letter) or a letter of support from the school administration should be included with the application. Since 1986, the state’s Housing Trust Fund has invested over $2 billion in capital funding and helped build or preserve more than 58,600 affordable housing units statewide. The Washington Legislature makes biennial appropriations in the capital budget and directs the Department on how to invest the funds. The Housing Trust Fund provides capital financing through loans or grants to affordable housing projects through annual competitive application cycles.For over 25 years the Policy Advisory Team (PAT) has provided recommendations and advice on affordable housing policy for Commerce and the Affordable Housing Advisory Board (AHAB). RCW 43.185A.020 requires Commerce to develop and administer its affordable housing program with advice and input from AHAB. Commerce has made it a priority to make our community feedback more representative of communities most impacted by the housing crisis and discrimination in housing. Incorporating the voices of community members, and particularly centering voices of communities that experience marginalization and discrimination in access to housing, was a priority throughout a consultant-led process, which involved multiple public meetings across 2023. As a result of this process, Commerce recognizes the need to improve engagement holistically, and is presenting a proposal that replaces the current PAT. This proposal focuses on the following strategies to increase transparency of decision making by incorporating input from diverse stakeholders with reasonable timelines, presentations and multiple feedback channels.

The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program utilizes federal funds to support communities in providing street outreach, emergency shelter, rental assistance, and related services. This program provides resources for adults and families with children experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The purpose of the ESG program is to provide homelessness prevention assistance to households who would otherwise become homeless and to provide assistance to rapidly re-house persons who are experiencing homelessness. The funds under this program are intended to target individuals and families who would be homeless but for this assistance. The funds will provide various assistance, including short-term or medium-term Rental Assistance, Housing Search and Placement, and Housing Stability Case Management.

City of Chandler Diversity Education Mini-Grants are available for teachers, schools, nonprofit organizations, and community groups in Chandler or serving Chandler residents or students. The grants, up to $1,000 each, aim to support programs promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion for youth aged 5-18. Proposals must address dimensions of diversity such as age, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation. Priority is given to K-12 education projects.
