The Miller / Packan Film Fund, financed through the Rogovy Foundation, supports documentaries that Educate, Inspire, and Enrich. Each year, grants totaling $200,000 are awarded to between eight and twelve filmmakers. The fund operates an open call submission process, and awards are announced bi-annually. Each grant is one-time only and offered in amounts up to $25,000. Submissions for the 2024 Summer Awards are accepted until May 15th, 2024. The fund seeks projects that address social issues in the subject categories of Education, the Environment, and Civics. Filmmakers must be at least 18 years old and the film must be feature-length (at least 70 minutes). International projects with global audience appeal are eligible. The project must have IRS 501(c)(3) status or a Fiscal Sponsor. Non-English language films are eligible but must have English subtitles. Student films and completed films are ineligible. The application requires a narrative description of the project, logline, story summary/synopsis, topic summary, artistic approach, project stage information, key creative personnel bios, audience and distribution strategies, financial information including fundraising strategy and grant impact details, visual sample or rough cut of the film with description and director's prior work sample if available, contact information of the applicant(s), comprehensive line item expense budget including a top sheet summary and detailed breakdown of all expenses from development through release in U.S. dollars using a provided template or similar format, statement of interest explaining how the project relates to the Ideals and Values of the Rogovy Foundation. The selection process is conducted by the staff of the Rogovy Film Fund based on criteria such as compelling story premise aligned with Fund's Ideals and Values and strength of proposal.

We fund projects that: Help North Macedonias youth build and develop skills to improve their potential through innovative science (especially environmental and health awareness), technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEM) programs, as well as through entrepreneurship programs and vocational training. Focus on educating youth and publics about current environmental issues, including crafting creative solutions to environmental challenges, green energy initiatives and energy conservation, climate change adaptation strategies, as well as action plans to deal with water scarcity exacerbated by climate change and urbanization. Encourage North Macedonias youth to participate in civic life through social entrepreneurship, volunteerism, and community engagement. Strengthen understanding of U.S. values and institutions; highlight US culture, including American Studies, English language teaching/learning, and study in the United States; as well as support diversity through the acceptance of minority groups, including individuals with special needs or handicapping conditions, and other areas of mutual interest. Participants and Audiences: US Mission North Macedonia encourages not only diverse applicants to apply to our grants programs but would also like to see diverse target audiences and trainers. Diversity can be defined by different geographic regions, ethnicities, religious orientations, gender, physical disabilities including visual, hearing, speech, and other physically handicapping conditions. This fund provides financial assistance to women pursuing careers as football coaches and scouts at the collegiate or professional levels in the U.S., helping to address gender disparities in these roles.

The Energy CLASS (Champions Leading the Advancement of Sustainable Schools) Prize is a grant opportunity offered by the U.S. Department of Energy State and Community Energy Program Office (SCEP). The prize aims to support local education agencies in establishing and training energy managers to identify, plan, and implement efficiency and health upgrades in schools. With $80 million available, the grant will help schools across the country lower utility costs, improve indoor environmental quality, and reduce carbon emissions. The Energy CLASS Prize consists of two phases. In Phase 1, up to 25 selected LEAs will receive $100,000 in cash prizes to support participation in a 12-month training program. In Phase 2, participants will undergo 80-160 hours of online educational courses and receive one-on-one support and coaching related to building upgrades. At the end of Phase 2, participants can submit a progress report and a plan for future building upgrades for a chance to win a $50,000 bonus prize. The Fund for Community Reparations for Autistic People of Color's Interdependence, Survival, and Empowerment is offering a grant opportunity for autistic people of color. The fund aims to provide direct support, mutual aid, and reparations to this community. The fund is based in the United States but has a global reach. The fund practices redistributive justice and mutual aid by returning and sharing money directly with autistic people of color. They offer microgrants for survival, organizing, leisure, and pleasure to Black, Brown, Native, Asian, and mixed-race individuals in the autistic community. The fund is committed to Disability Justice principles, including leadership by those most impacted, intersectionality, anti-capitalist politics, cross-movement solidarity, interdependence, collective access, and collective liberation. They are focused on ending extractive economies and building sustainable generative economies. The fund is specifically for autistic people of color and not for parents, caregivers, or family members. However, in some cases, applications from parents or caregivers on behalf of autistic people of color may be approved. The fund prioritizes applications that emphasize the autistic person's individual wants, needs, desires, preferences, choices, and interests. They may approve applications for therapy if it is desired by the autistic child, but they do not approve applications for ABA therapy. Applications for household help or necessities like rent and bills are also considered, especially if there are multiple autistic children in the family. The Pulitzer Center is offering the Truth Decay Grant Initiative for journalists and newsrooms interested in addressing science misinformation, science denial, and the spread of pseudoscience. The initiative aims to expose those responsible for spreading misinformation and support journalists in developing innovative responses to combat mistruths. They are particularly interested in proposals that explore the reasons behind the spread of scientific misinformation, the challenges of reporting on science in today's media landscape, the creators and beneficiaries of misinformation, and unique perspectives on pseudoscience and misinformation in society.
